You need to install a virtual machine (virtual Box), set it up with windows 7 86 bit (you can download both for free) then you can run install the game inside the VM by going to the virtual machine top right corner (devices-> optical disk images) add the .ISO file of the barbie game, go inside the virtual machine and click on setup.exe inside the barbie.iso image.

In reply to Michelle DeLeonardis. Games this old usually will have problems running on anything but an emulator or virtual machine. I can't run virtual machines on my setup so I can't help with that, but that is likely what everyone in this comment section would have to try. I am on Windows 10 and when I switched to Windows 11, I couldn't run old 1998-ish games that I was able to on 10. You may have luck downgrading as well, but that's annoying so I would suggest a virtual machine. Good luck!

I’ve downloaded this and I cannot figure out how to get it to work. I have done it more than once. Tried mounting and “ejecting” it but it just pulls up the folders and none of the applications can be open on the computer. I have Windows 11. any suggestions?
