The gospel of Jesus Christ is about the gospel of the kingdom of God, on earth. The gospel is NOT about the person of Jesus Christ or his death and burial. Of course he must be preached in conjunction with the gospel of the kingdom of God, but he is NOT the gospel. The message that Christ preached was about the kingdom of God. But before you disagree with this truth, read it for yourself in the bible. Jesus himself said that the reason he was sent, was to preach the kingdom of God. Let me show you…
Luke 9:60 “Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go you and preach the kingdom of God”. Now, here’s another verse…Luke 4:43 “And he (Jesus)said to them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for that reason am I sent.” And just in case you disagree with me, I didn’t write the bible, it was authored by God himself.
So, you will not be disagreeing with me, you’ll be disagreeing with God. May God help you understand this truth.
