It also screwed up when I tried to forcefully get out of there and the desktop was zoomed in. I tried turning it off and on my Windows 10 laptop but it started to slow down terribly.

The old physical copy I have runs fine on my laptop, however retrocompatibility is usually more a problem about what graphic card and drivers you are using rather than the operative system the machine is running on.
