Another approach (50%) is to directly confront the enemy queen. If she kills you, start over; otherwise, you get the yard free of enemy ants!

An interesting tactic I used to use in this game, that worked about 75% of the time, was to take my queen immediately after the opposing queen’s tunnel, block it off with a pebble, then dig my own.
