How to play on Windows

- While waiting for your download, make sure that you have a software called Daemon Tools installed on your computer.
- Extract the âBFME 2 + Rise of the Witch Kingâ folder to your desktop.
- Drag the folder to your C:// disc on your computer.
- Open the âBFME 2 + Rise of the Witch Kingâ folder and then open the âGame Filesâ folder.
Instructions for The Battle for Middle Earth 2
- Open the folder called BFME2 and then the folder called BFME2 Installer. Inside the BFME Installer folder, you want to double click on the file called AutoRun.exe and the installer for The Battle for Middle Earth 2 should launch. Go through the game setup â at some point they will ask you to insert a CD-key. Use any one of these and finish the installation:

- M9NN-6NWW-5VRB-5KLN-EVV3
- If you run the game now, they will ask you to insert a CD so it will not work. What you have to do, is open up the software called Daemon Tools and then select add a new drive. You want the virtual drive to be âSCSIâ and then select âAdd driveâ. If this part is a bit complicated, watch the video below and you can see how I did it for clearer instructions. You then want to drag the âMI-BFME2.mdsâ file (it will be 9KB) into the empty drive on Daemon tools. Note: If Daemon Tools doesn’t work, then use WinCDEmu.
- The next step, is that you want to go back into the folder called âGame Filesâ. In here, you want to open the âOptions.iniâ file (double click it). You will see a line of code which says âResolution = 1920 1080â. You want to change these numbers to the resolution of your computer, and then save the document.
- Next, you want to click on your start menu and then search for %appdata% and you want to click on the %appdata% folder. This is usually C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming. Inside this folder, you want to find the folder called âMy Battle for Middle-earth ⢠II Filesâ. You want to open that folder, and then you want to copy, and then paste, the âOptions.iniâ file from step 3 into the âMy Battle for Middle-earth ⢠II Filesâ folder.
- You can now run the game from the desktop shortcut, and the insert a CD message should go away.
- Enjoy the game!

I installed it correctly but it says to place the correct dvd?
If you are using a new version of Deamon tools you need to have the drive set to IDE then mount it.
As of 9-16-2023 it asks for the game when trying to start program after install
yea how do we fix that?? im at that point too
I’m getting an error when I attempt to launch ROTWK about Mordor fortress wall hub expansion cost any ideas on how I can fix this?
I got ROTWK to run but it requires I keep base BFME2 as version 1.06 meaning the game still struggles with being way too zoomed in.

Would you consider posting it to rumble? CensorTube deleted your video already.
Hi, I followed all the installation instructions, but I am stuck at the part with the My Battle for Middle-earth ⢠II Files as it doesn’t seem to be in the %appdata% folder. Any fixes?
I had to move my entire BFME game folder from its location into another before the “My Battle…” folder populated. It’s weird, I think it has to do with whatever the heck “Roaming” actually means, might be something to do with file placement.
Please explain how you did it. You moved what BFME folder and where? Thank you
thanks, since long time i am looking to download this game.
Pensei que sĂł eu estaria procurando esse game em pleno Agosto/2023 ^^
