Game Description

Warcraft II: “Beyond the Dark Portal” is a real-time strategy computer game released in 1996 by Blizzard Entertainment. The game is an expansion of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness that came out the previous year year. Both games were later sold together as Warcraft II: Battle.net edition. The game follows the events of Tides of Darkness. After the Orcs were driven back to Draenor, and the Dark Portal is destroyed by the arch-mage Khadgar, the Alliance discover that even though the portal is destroyed, the gates through which the Orcs entered this world still exist. To put an end to any future Horde invasion, a group from the Allies must go to Draenor, the land of the Orcs, and close the portal from both sides. In the meantime, Ner’zul, the leader of the Shadow Moon clan, has gained control over Orc hordes from Draenor and is amassing an amry with the aim of not only conquering Azeroth but also opening portals to other worlds.
