Video for Windows

Backpacker requires Video for Windows installed in your system. If not already
installed, change to the WINVIDEO directory on the CD and run SETUP.EXE. 
This will install Video for Windows. This is usually already installed on most
systems.


Sound and Video drivers

To support older machines, Backpacker uses DISPDIB and WAVEMIX technologies
that are no longer supported.  If you are having problems, the first thing to 
try is to change your video mode to 256 colors. This usually fixes most
problems. If problems persist, getting a new video driver from your manufacturer
will be the next step.

Windows 3.1 / Windows 95

If you have a FILES statement in your Config.sys, please make sure that it is
set to at least 40.
