"THE AMAZING LABYRINTH" ------------------------------------------- Playing modes: ------------------------------------------- Close-up and bird's-eye view: The human player has a choice between close-up and bird's-eye view (full view). The changeover from full to close-up view is accomplished by clicking on one's own playing character in the maze, or by using control key F12. The computer-controlled characters move exclusively in close-up viewing mode. When the computer-controlled character is moving in the close-up mode, the player can change over to the other viewing mode with the F12 key to be able, for instance, to follow the computer path better. The computer will, however, continue to count double the score for the move of the computer-controlled character. Return key: You can cancel the move at any time with the return key. Magic wand: Likewise, the magic wand can only be used once in the close-up mode to help the player pull down a wall blocking his way. To use the magic wand, right-click with the mouse on the wall section you want to pull down while in close-up view. Two wall sections running parallel to each other cannot be removed completely because the magic wand can only remove one section at a time. Timed mode: If the player has chosen the timed mode in the select menu by clicking on the candle, he will have exactly 100 seconds to complete every move. Each passing second reduces the player's remaining time for his turn by one second. As soon as the goal is reached the candle goes out. You can cancel the move at any time before the time is used up with the return key. ------------------------------------------- Scoring: ------------------------------------------- For each assigned goal you collect, you get +250 points. For each field inside the labyrinth you complete on the way to your goal, you get +20 points. If the assigned goal is reached using the close-up view modus all the way from the beginning to the end of a turn, the score for the labyrinth fields travelled doubles. For each second used by the player during his turn, regardless of whether the goal is reached or not, -1 second will be taken off the remaining time for the turn. If the player has chosen not to use the magic wand, his score increases by +100 bonus points. Roll of honour: Of all players, the one with the most points in the game is the winner and therefore the first-placed on the winner's podium. In order to be included in the Highscore Hall of Fame, the player must have reached more points than the previous player listed in there.
