To print this file, open it with NOTEPAD or another word processor and choose [Print] in the [File] menu.

Run "autorun.exe" from "Disc 1".


2. Troubles installing the game

If a virus checker or other resident applications are running, close these applications and try installing again.

1. The game does not run (DirectX update)
=========================================================================
This product requires DirectX 9.0 or higher. Insert "Disc 1", select [Install DirectX 9.0c] from the install screen to install DirectX 9.0c. 
Or run [dxsetup.exe] in the [DirectX 9.0c] folder on "Disc 1".


2. The game does not run (Windows Media Format update)
=========================================================================
This product requires Windows Media Format 9 or higher. Insert "Disc 1", select [Install Window Media Format 9] from the install screen to install Windows Media Format 9. 
Or run [wmfdist.exe] in the [Windows Media 9] folder on "Disc 1". 


3. The game does not run (graphics card driver update)
=========================================================================
Update the drivers of your graphics card. 
For driver updates, please contact the manufacturer of your graphics card.

4. The game is slow
=========================================================================
The problem may be solved by resetting the graphics card settings. 

(1) From the [Start] menu - [All Programs] - [Koei] - [Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper] - run [Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper Configuration].

(2) In the [Graphics] tab, click [Defaults].

(3) Click [Save Settings] and [Close] to close the configuration screen.

1. Defaults

Default settings are based on keyboard usage. 
Actions are assigned to the following keys: 

Forward			Up arrow
Backward		Down arrow
Left			Left arrow
Right			Right arrow
Attack			A
Charge 			S
Musou			D
Jump			Space
Guard/Shift		Left shift
Bow camera		Left control
Name/Life		L
Map toggle		Tab
Announce		I
Orders			O
Pause			Esc


2. Control settings (from the OPTION menu in the game)

The default settings are based on keyboard usage, but it is also possible to set the controls to gamepads, joysticks, or other controllers. 
You can set up your controller as follows:

(1) Start the game. 

(2) From the main menu go to [OPTION] - [CONTROLS] - [1P CONTROLS] - [SETUP] and set each action to a button of your choice.


3. Control settings (using the external "DW4Config.exe")

You can also use the external "DW4Config.exe" (Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper Configuration) to set up or change control settings.

(1) From the [Start] menu - [All Programs] - [Koei] - [Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper] - run [Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper Configuration].

(2) In the tab [Input] - [Player 1], set each action to a button of your choice. 

(3) Click [Save Settings] and [Close] to close the configuration screen.
