If that does not work, press the Restore Defaults button to go back to the original settings. ============================================= 6. Late Game Changes ============================================= Please note that certain video cards containing the S3 Virge chipset have encountered difficulty at the 320 X 200 video resolution. To update your drivers for your S3 card, please go to: http://www.s3.com/bbs/0main/topindex.htm Note: Some S3 Virge cards may not have drivers available that support DirectX 6. Extreme WinterSports requires DirectX 6 compatible video cards/drivers to operate properly. Please note that Direct X 6 MUST be installed to your primary Windows drive, and during installation, it will require up to 30 MB of free disk space to complete. Please ensure that you have 30 MB free for that installation before attempting to install Direct X 6. ============================================= 7. Direct 3D Support ============================================= To tell if your computer is Direct 3D compatible, please follow these steps. 1. Click [Start] 2. Click [Find] 3. Click [Files or Folders] 4. In the 'Named' field, type DXDIAG.EXE 5. In the 'Look In' field, make sure it is looking in the C: drive 6. Click [Find Now] 7. Double Click on DXDIAG file that appears in the window below. 8. Click on the [Display] Tab There you will see two options, Direct Draw, and Direct 3D. If Direct 3d states the Acceleration is Enabled, Extreme WinterSports should run correctly on your computer.
