Video Modes Program ********************** Most players will never have to use this program that sits next to the main GPW program on the Start Menu. If you have more than one video card in your machine (a 3Dfx Voodoo2 card for example), Video Modes let's you select which video card the game will use. By default the game will use the primary display. If you have compatibility problems with Grand Prix World, or your video card is not fully DirectX6.1 compatible, you may run the game in software mode by copying the file "gfx.dat" from the "Extras" folder on your Grand Prix World CD-ROM, to your installed game directory (by default "C:\Program Files\MicroProse\Grand Prix World"). 3. A note about 3D performance ****************************** The 3D race section may run slowly on some machine configurations if they are close to the minimum specification required for the game. To improve performance, try switching some of the 3D race views off in the race section. This should improve the visual performance of the 3D graphics. There are also options available in the game to improve game performance; please consult your Grand Prix World manual for details. ****************************************************************************************** 7.
