To load a mission, press Escape and select Exit to Menu. Select Load Game and click on the mission you wish and select Play. There will also be a list of “Profiles Names” for different saved games you might have. ---------------------- In-game display & Tips ---------------------- 1) The Humvee icon shows your health. The more damage you take, the color of your icon becomes red. There is also a counter of your health. When it reaches 0 your Humvee will blow up and you will fail the mission. A good way to know your low on health is your Humvee will start smoking and eventually catch on fire. 2) You soldier health works similar to the humvee’s with a number for how much health you have. 3) Navigation Map: shows your next objective as well as where your Humvee is at all times. It also displays an icon for when your on-foot as the soldier. This way you can never lose where you last left your Humvee. 4) Compass Map: This gives you a basic idea of the location of an enemy. Different color dots represent different types of enemies. 5) Weapon icons: The icons for your Humvee and soldier work the same. It shows you have many Bullets remaining in a clip as well as how many clips you have. 6) AI-Heath Bar & Brackets: This allows you to see how much health an enemy has left. It also aids in targeting and keeping track of where they are. There is an options to turn this off but this will increase the difficulty of the game. 7) Crosshairs: shows exactly where the Humvee and Soldier are aiming. 8) 360 free look: When at a complete stop with your humvee, and your finger on the spacebar you can perform a 360 look around. This will allow you to shoot at enemies all around you. This is extremely helpful in big battles or tight spaces. 9) Camera views: Using the “F4” key you can toggle too many different camera views for the Humvee and player. Each view has its own benefit when playing the game. --------------- Troubleshooting --------------- Problem: The game doesn't look right; it doesn't look like the screenshots on the back of the box or the web page. Sometimes you will see large squares, textures aren't showing up or everything is a solid color or other graphical anomalies. Solution: You will need to make sure you have the newest video drivers for you card. A list of video card manufacturers and their web pages are listed below. Go to the web page of the manufacturer of your video card and download the latest version of your video card's drivers and install them. This fixes graphical problems 99% of the time. ATI Technologies: www.atitech.com Creative Labs: www.creaf.com Diamond Multimedia: www.diamondmm.com ELSA www.elsa.com Hercules: www.hercules.com Matrox: www.matrox.com nVidia: www.nvidia.com PowerVR: www.powervr.com S3: www.diamondmm.com Trident: www.tridentmicro.com VisionTek www.visiontek.com Problem: The sound in the game sometimes screws up. I hear static, the same sound repeating over, sounds play while the game is loading or sounds just don't play. The game won't load or when I play it just goes back to windows. Solution: Just like video cards, sound cards have drivers too. The first thing you should do is go to the web page of the manufacturer of your sound card and download the latest drivers. If that doesn't work go to your "start" bar in window, then select to"Run" and type "dxdiag" this will run your windows DX tools. From there go to "Sound" and turn you "Acceleration" down to "Basic" for your sound card. Problem: The game is running very slow. Solution: If you feel that the game is running too slowly there are two things you can do to make it faster. The first is to turn down your graphic option to a lower setting. If you’re already on the lowest setting then start turning off other Graphic related options such as FX, Dust trails, Shadow maps and so on. If it still runs too slowly turn the View Distance to Low. If you do both of these things and the game still runs too slowly then you will need to upgrade your PC to attain acceptable performance. Also refer to the Quick start options section of this readme. Problem: The game is way too hard! I can't even get past the first few enemies on the first map! Solution: Get used to the controls before you go too far into the game. Remember to take it slow at first and not go to the highest gear speed for the Humvee. Choose a slower but more powerful Humvee to play with which might suit you better.
