This readme file contains all the information you need to get James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone installed and set up on your computer and troubleshoot the latest issues that may arise during installations and setup.
If the Windows Autoplay feature is enabled on your computer, the installer will begin when you insert James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone DVD into your DVD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue the installation. If the game is already installed on your system, the James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone Game Launch screen will appear.
If the Autoplay feature is disabled, you can begin the installation by doing the following (*):

James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone requires that your computer have the latest version of DirectX 9.0c installed in order to run. This is included with James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone and will run automatically during installation, and is also available online at:
At the end of James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone install setup, the installer will automatically install DirectX 9.0c and all required runtime updates on your computer. If you already have other Windows games on your computer, chances are you already have a version of DirectX installed. In this case, the Microsoft installer will detect it and will not overwrite any files. You will not need to restart your computer after installation in order to run James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone. If, however, you do not already have DirectX 9.0c installed the Microsoft installer will detect and overwrite any previous versions with DirectX 9.0c. At that point, you will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
You can also manually install it later. To do so, use the following instructions (*):
James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone can be uninstalled from your system from the Add/Remove programs section of the Windows Control Panel (Start -> Control Panel). Select James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone from the list of applications installed and select Uninstall, then follow the instructions on screen.
You may need to manually delete your save games after uninstalling. To do so, use the following instructions
Save games are stored in the users' Application Data folder, under "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Bizarre Creations\Blood Stone\".

*Most video issues can be resolved by installing the latest drivers for your video card from the manufacturer's website.
Most sound issues can be resolved by ensuring you have the latest AC97 drivers for your sound card installed. Check the website of your sound card manufacturer for the latest AC97 driver release if you are encountering problems with audio playback.
James Bond 007(TM) - Blood Stone requires an active Internet connection for online play. If you are having problems connecting to a server, make sure your Internet connection is active (try websites, other online games, etc).
If you are having problems hosting a game, please ensure that your firewall and/or router are properly configured. Activision does not provide support for routers and firewalls.
