Jumble CD-ROM Readme.TXT file ----------------------------- Installation ------------ The Jumble CD-ROM should automatically bring up an install box when you place the CD in the drive. Press "install" and follow the on-screen instructions. If the installer doesn't come up on its own, with the CD in the drive, go to your Start menu, select "Settings", then "Control Panel", then the "Add/Remove Programs" option. On this screen, press the "Install" button. Troubleshooting --------------- If the install program asks for the Win95 or Win98 disk, then you didn't install the Multimedia options when you installed Windows, and you must supply the disk when requested. If you don't see a title animation when you start Jumble, you need to install "Video compression": Go to the control panel, select "Add/Remove Programs", select the "Windows Setup" tab, click on "Multimedia" and enable the "Video Compression" and "Audio compression" tabs. Additional Features ------------------- Using "Hints" in the bonus word of Classic, Plus, Crosswords, or Kids works as follows. If all the regular "jumbles" have been correctly answered, "Hints" will replace the first incorrect letter in the "Bonus" with the correct one. However, if one or more of the regular "jumbles" has not been solved correctly, pressing "Hints" will cause the cursor to move to the first incorrect letter found in a regular "jumble" and replace it. Keep in mind that the puzzle has not been solved until all the "jumbles" have been answered correctly. The number above the player's name is the player's average score for all the variants. The number below is the cumulative score for all games, and is also found with the player rankings by accessing the "Menu" screen, then "High Scores" from the "Choose a Game" screen.
