Turn the computer on and start Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Please close any other programs that you have running. 2. Place the Madagascar CD in the CD-ROM drive and wait 10 seconds. The install screen should appear. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions. NOTE: If the Autorun feature is disabled or does not work properly, please follow one of the manual installation methods below. ===================================================================== Manual Installation Method One: 1. Turn the computer on and start Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Please close any other programs that you have running. 2. Place the Madagascar CD in the CD-ROM drive. 3. Click on [Start] then click on [RUN]. 4. Type the letter of your CD-ROM drive (usually "D") followed by a colon (:) and the word "SETUP". Then click the [OK] button. (Example: "D:SETUP") 5. The install screen should appear. Follow the on-screen instructions. ===================================================================== Manual Installation Method Two: 1. Turn the computer on and start Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Please close any other programs that you have running. 2. Place the Madagascar CD in the CD-ROM drive. 3. Double-click on the [My Computer] icon from your desktop. 4. Double-click on the CD-ROM icon labeled [Madagascar]. 5. Double-click on the [Setup] icon. 6. The install screen should appear. Follow the on-screen instructions. ===================================================================== Getting Started After Installation: 1. Place the Madagascar CD in the CD-ROM drive. 2. Click on [Start], then select [Programs]. 3. Select Activision Value, Madagascar, Madagascar Island Mania. ===================================================================== II. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ===================================================================== MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Operating System: Windows 98 / ME / 2000 / XP CPU Speed: 550MHz (733MHz or higher recommended) Memory: 128MB RAM (256MB or higher recommended) Video Card: 32MB RAM (64MB or higher recommended), DirectX 9 Compatible CD-ROM: 8X Sound: 16-bit Sound Blaster Compatible HD Space: 700MB Keyboard, Mouse ===================================================================== III. GENERAL TECHNICAL ISSUES ===================================================================== WARNING: Please make sure that the program CD is inserted in your CD-ROM drive before launching the game. You can play the game only if the CD is in drive. DRIVER ISSUES Make sure you have installed DirectX 9.0c or later on your computer. The latest version of DirectX is included on the program CD in the 'DirectX' folder. Make sure you have installed the most recent drivers for all your hardware before playing the game. You can find our what type of hardware you have by clicking Start, then Run, and entering the text 'DXDIAG', without the quotation marks. Press OK, and the DirectX Diagnostic Tool should appear. The 'Display' tab will contain the name and manufacturer of your video card - you should be able to find up to date drivers on their website. ===================================================================== IV.
