Installation: Unzip the patch files to your desktop and double click the madnpatch.exe file and it will install itself to the Madden 2000 directory. Known Issues: If you get an error message about "A required .DLL file was not found. WS2_32.DLL" This refers to the version of Winsock you are using, typically only Windows 95 users will only see this error message. You can find the correct file at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/wuadmintools/s_wunetworkingtools/w95sockets2/default.asp Once you follow the download instructions and install the new Winsock file you should not see this error message again. VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Before installing the patch, you will have to go into the /save directory of Madden 2000 and delete your User Profiles (default directory is C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Madden 2000\Save). These files have an extension of .pr0 (the lastnumber will change per user profile). Also if you use the EA Football Net you must install EAFootball Net first before installing the patch. The EAFootballNet.exe file will overwrite some of the fixes if you install it after the Madden NFL(TM) 2000 patch has been installed.
