To load this save game up again use the Load Game feature and select "Autosave.ssg" - Colour Depths - the game can be run at 3 different colour depths. These are:- 16 bit Mode (default) 8 bit Mode - If you find that the 16-bit mode is too slow then try the 8 bit mode. This will run perfectly on all computers. 32 bit Mode - if you have problems running the 16 bit version then try this mode, it is slower than the 16-bit mode. To choose a different colour depth select one of the shortcuts on the Start Menu. - Ground Conditions - Each game is affected by the pitch/ground conditions. To have the best chance of winning it is important that you take these into account when playing the game. Pitch Hardness - the harder the pitch the better it is for batting on, although fast bowlers will get a lot of bounce and so with the new ball it can be dangerous. - soft pitches are generally harder to bat on as the spin bowlers can spin the ball a lot and the seamers can get movement of the seam. Pitch Grass - as the game progresses the pitch will become worn and will soften up. The more grass on a pitch the longer it will hold together. A pitch with very little grass will lose it's hardness very quickly. Weather - different weather conditions favour different bowlers. A very hot day will help the batsmen as the ball won't do too much. As the temperature drops and there are signs of rain however the bowlers come into it much more. Ball - a new cricket ball is very hard and this favours fast bowlers. As the ball begins to wear out it will assist the fast bowlers less. Occasionally when the ball gets very old (60-80 overs) it will reverse swing, this will help the fast medium bowlers a lot. - Player Search Drop-down boxes - if you are having trouble using these then follow these instructions. Click once on the box you want to use, then either use the keys or the mouse to scroll down until the item you want to select is in the centre of the box. Then click on the item or select it with the arrow keys. - Slower Computers - if the match itself is running slowly, choose the "OVER by OVER (Over)" match speed in the SPEED menu of the MATCH SCREEN. - Slower Computers - if the game is running slowly on your PC, please run the game in 8 bit colour mode. This will greatly increase the speed of the game. To do this use the 8-bit shortcut on the start menu. - MultiPlayer Game - it is recommended that all users choose a team from the same country, otherwise you will find that the matches and season will be at different times during the year. - Continue Button Shortcut 'C' - When using keyboard shortcut 'C' for CONTINUE, some users may experience the game continually progressing through the game screens. Press the 'C' button once again to stop it. - Fast Play - On some slower computers running the game at speed using the 'C' shortcut may cause problems. If you have problems then playing the game using the mouse rather than the keyboard may help. - In Match Shortcut 'N' - use the 'N' shortcut to bowl. This lets you get through the game at your own speed and use the mouse for selections and pop-up windows. - HTML Files - when you save a HTML file from the game, the default path the file will be saved to is in the root directory of where the game is installed. The files will be named numerically; Output1.html, Output2.html etc. === TECHNICAL SUPPORT === For technical support, please direct all e-mails to support@midasinteractive.com.
