Try to be as specific as possible when describing EXACTLY what happened. What were you trying to do with Monster Jam Maximum Destruction when (and before) the problem occurred? What type of hardware does your computer have? What version of Windows is it running? What other programs, if any, were running at the time? These are all potential questions that Technical Support might ask you, and your ability to answer these questions will greatly increase the likelihood that your problem will be resolved. Thank you. 2. The minimum system requirements for running Monster Jam Maximum Destruction are: . Windows(r) 98/ME/2000/XP Only (Monster Jam Maximum Destruction does not officially support Windows 95 or NT) . Pentium III(r) 500 or AMD K6(r)-III 600 or better . Monster Jam Maximum Destruction also needs up to 20 MB of free hard drive space to run smoothly, due to audio requirements. Along with the needs of other Windows applications that may be running, along with the requirements of Windows' swapfile, we recommend having at least 30 MB free hard drive space on the drive where you installed Monster Jam Maximum Destruction before launching the program. 4. The Monster Jam Maximum Destruction CD contains an electronic version of the Monster Jam Maximum Destruction manual in PDF format, in the "Manual folder on the CD. This file's format can be read by the Adobe Acrobat Reader program, and the installation for the Acrobat Reader program is also contained in the "Manual" folder of the CD. 5. Compatibility Issues Monster Jam Maximum Destruction was tested on a wide range of CPUs, as well as more than two dozen different video cards. Even so, you may experience some of the following hardware incompatibilities: -- Some older video cards do not have drivers that are 100% compatible with DirectX 8.1. These drivers either incorrectly report the capabilities of the video card, or do not properly support certain 3D features that Monster Jam requires. For example, if you have an older card (such as a Voodoo3), you may experience visual problems if you have the "Bump Mapping" option selected. These problems can be avoided by deselecting the Bump Mapping option, or obtaining drivers that are 100% compatible with DirectX 8.1. -- Additionally, some older video cards DO support the features required for bump mapping, but the resulting frame rate can become unacceptably slow. If you find that the performance is not satisfactory, we suggest trying different options for detail and resolution. These options can be accessed using the SETUP button in the Monster Jam launcher. Monster Jam does NOT support the Hercules line of KYRO or KYRO II - based graphics cards. Cards that are not supported include: -- Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64MB -- Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT 64 MB -- Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT - PCI 6. Running Other Applications at the Same Time Monster Jam Maximum Destruction does NOT support multitasking. We strongly discourage running other applications while playing Monster Jam. 7. Minimizing Monster Jam We strongly suggest that you do not try to minimize Monster Jam Maximum Destruction in order to run other applications. If you do, you will have to restart the game, so please save your game that is in progress. 8. Gravis Exterminator Game Pad The Gravis Exterminator Game Pad has been tested with Monster Jam Maximum Destruction. However, be advised that you can not use the digital stick to move between menus. 9. MP3 Players Monster Jam does not support the use of Winamp or other popular MP3 programs. If you use these programs while playing Monster Jam, they will almost certainly interfere with the sounds and music in the game, and may cause the program to otherwise not function properly. 10. DirectX 8.1 INstallation Monster Jam requires DirectX 8.1 to work properly, which is included on the game CD. The game requires approximately 405 MB free space to install normally. However,if you wish to install/reinstall the Direct X 8.1, you should have at least 100 MB more free space. 11. Monster Jam CD-ROM The Monster Jam CD-ROM Disc is NOT required to run Monster Jam. Once you have started the program, do not remove or insert the Monster Jam CD. This will cause Monster Jam to restart. 12. Color Depth Monster Jam automatically runs in 32 bit color mode. If your desktop is set to another color mode (such as 256 colors) Monster Jam will switch to 32 bit color when you run the program. If your desktop is set to 16 colors, switch your color mode to at least 256 colors before running Monster Jam. ===================================================================== II. *** Technical and Customer Support *** Our website contains the most up to date Technical Support information available including patches that can be downloaded free of charge.
