I: ADDENDUM TO MANUAL

The player must be placed 1st in the overall standings to open more levels.


                                    
II: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

The following information is the minimum hardware requirement needed to run NICKTOONS RACING

Pentium 166 MMX, 32 MB RAM
Windows 95/98 
50MB Hard Disk space
4x CD ROM 
Direct3D Supported 3D Graphics Card, at least 4MB video memory.  
DirectSound compatible sound card.  
Mouse, Keyboard and any DirectX supported controllers 

 
NICKTOONS RACING requires DirectX 7 or higher to run properly. 

 

III: GENERAL TECHNICAL ISSUES 

Here is a list of some of the known technical problems you might encounter.

You can configure the game's settings by selecting 'Configure NickToons Racing' from the 
NickToons Racing folder in the Windows Start Menu.


Graphics Cards:

NICKTOONS RACING detects multiple Graphics cards and the resolution settings they are capable of. 
Although the user can select the highest resolution setting possible, the game may not be able to run due to 
memory limitations on the video card.  For example: users with only one Voodoo2 card will be see the option to 
select 1024 x 768, but will not be able to play the game in this resolution.  In order to run at that resolution
two Voodoo2 cards are needed. To fix this simply select the next resolution down until you find one which will 
work. 


Sound Cards:

Please make sure you obtain the latest drivers for your sound card.

NICKTOONS RACING plays music from either your hard drive or the CD, depending on the installation type.
If you find that this interferes with the gameplay too much (short pauses every 1 second or so), you can turn
off the music using either the NICKTOONS RACING configuration program, or from the SOUND menu in the game
options screen.


Keyboard Issues:

Certain key combinations cannot be detected correctly by the game. This is a technical limitation of computer
keyboards in general and is beyond our control. Unfortunately, this may cause problems in 2-Player mode when both
players are using the same keyboard. We recommend that in 2-Player mode, one player uses a joystick and the other
uses the keyboard.


Movies:

In order to play movies correctly, NICKTOONS RACING requires that the Windows Multimedia support files are installed
on your computer. If the opening movies do not play, try the following:

From the Windows Start Menu select Control Panel.
Select 'Add/Remove Programs'.
Select the 'Windows Setup' tab at the top of the dialog box
Scroll down the list of components until you see 'Multimedia'
Make sure that the 'Multimedia' box is ticked, then click 'Apply' or 'Ok'
Windows will then install the Multimedia components (You may require your Windows CD)
