Installation: --------------------- Administrator's right is required to play the game Begin by inserting the Pac-Man World™ 3 DVD into your DVD-ROM drive and wait a few moments until the Pac-Man World™ 3 title screen appears. If the title screen does not appear, open My Computer from your Windows Desktop or Start Menu and double-click on the DVD-ROM drive showing the Pac-Man World™ 3 icon. Double-click on the Setup program icon to start installing the program. Once the setup program has started, a series of on-screen instructions will guide you through the rest of the installation procedure. ********************************************************************* 3. Troubleshooting: ------------------------ In case of audio problems, try reducing the hardware acceleration on your sound card. This can be done by opening the Control Panel from the Start Menu. Double-click on "Sounds And Audio Devices" (this may be listed as "Sounds and Multimedia" under earlier versions of Windows). Select Audio and click on the Advanced button in the Sound Playback section. Click on performance. Drag the slider called Hardware Acceleration towards the left. Click on Ok. Try reducing the acceleration a step at a time until the audio problem disappears. Known Issues: ------------- 1) Issue: Game runs poorly with this video card; nVidia eVGA Vanta On some systems with Windows 2000SP1, 256MB of Ram and a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Digital 5.1. Workaround: There is currently no solution to this problem. 2) Issue: Game runs poorly with this video card; nVidia eVGA Vanta On some systems with Windows 2000SP4, 512MB of Ram and a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Value. Workaround: There is currently no solution to this problem. 3) Issue: The game exhibits slow performance and becomes unplayable. Systems that have ATI Radeon 9000 64MB DDR TVO video card, Sound Blaster Audigy 2, running Windows 98SE with 64 MB of Ram Workaround: There is currently no complete solution to this problem. 4) Issue: Pac-Man World™ 3 does not run on Windows 98SE Pac-Man World™ 3 presents two error messages when attempting to launch the application on a Windows 98SE system. Workaround: There is currently no solution to this problem. 5) Issue: Pac-Man World™ 3 does not run on Windows 98 Workaround: There is currently no solution to this problem. 6) Issue; Slowdown on systems above 1.4 GHz. Probably related to the video card. Workaround: suggest 128MB minimum video RAM, 256MB recommended. 7) Issue: The Xbox 360 controller is not fully compatible with Pac-Man World 3 ********************************************************************* 4.
