How to Install PROJECT EARTH ------------------------------- To install the game: - Insert the PROJECT EARTH CD into the appropriate drive. - The installation screen is automatically displayed. (If the installation screen does not appear automatically then: - Click the Start button on the taskbar and choose Run. - Type D:\INSTALL.EXE in the line labeled Open. (If your CD-ROM drive uses a letter other than D, substitute that letter for D.) - Click the OK button - Select the button INSTALL PRODUCT - Follow the instructions on the screen To run after successfully installing the program: - Begin at the Windows desktop. - Click the Start button, point to Programs, then Dreamcatcher/PROJECT EARTH - Click PROJECT EARTH To uninstall the game from your system: - Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. - Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. - Click the Install/Uninstall tab and select PROJECT EARTH - Click the Add/Remove button and then click the Yes button to remove the program. - Click OK. ************************************************************ 2. Known issues --------------- * On Windows XP you have to be logged in as administrator to install game. * If you have a Logitech mouse, install MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS (GAME_WHL.EXE). You may download it from the Logitech website at www.logitech.com. * Any applications open in background may severe game performance. All applications should be closed before running the game. * Some systems are not equipped with a wheel mouse or a three-button mouse. To simulate the middle mouse button or mouse wheel you may use following keys: - To zoom as with middle mouse button, press 5 from numerical keyboard (NUM 5). - To simulate mouse wheel press simultaneously CTRL with UP or DOWN arrow keys. These combinations work in both the tutorial and missions. * To view objective messages again, press the "I" key. This works in both the tutorial and game missions. End of Readme.
