Thank you for purchasing Scarab from Electronic Arts. We hope you enjoy playing it. For your listening pleasure, we've included 7 audio tracks on the CD, showcasing the original music you hear while playing the game. These tracks (tracks 2 - 7) can be heard on any audio CD player. You need to skip past track 1 and begin at track 2 to hear the music. Please do not attempt to play track one, as it contains the game data which is not meant to be played on audio CD players. These are very cool tracks which we hope you listen to and enjoy. Scarab provides you with two executables. SCARABX.EXE - this executable runs in DirectX 3 or better ONLY. You need DirectX version 3 installed on your system to run this. Double-click this file to run the game in DirectX. SCARAB.EXE - this executable will run with or without DirectX on your system. The game will function the same, except you will not be able to play multiplayer games. Double-click this file to run the game on a machine without DirectX. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ************************************************************************ ************************* PERIPHERAL SUPPORT *************************** ************************************************************************ ******************** *INPUT DEVICE SETUP* ******************** In order to get optimum Input Device performance with Scarab, you must setup your peripherals with the Windows 95 joystick calibration program.
