These enhancements are not present in the manual as they are changes which took place after its printing. Keyboard/peripheral Controls The manual states that B is the key to brake the car. It is however the Z key. However, you may now configure your own keyboard/peripheral controls. Display Configurator The game will automatically run a display configurator when it is first run. It will choose your best video device but this may be changed by the user. To run the configurator again, simply select it from the start menu. Pit Stops Work to take place at the pit stops is no longer carried out automatically. The player may now choose which work should be carried out (eg tyres, petrol) and press the relevant command key to action this. The more work which the player has carried out on the car, the longer the pit stop will last. Please note, the more wheelspin that you use, the more tyre and oil wear your car will incur, leading to more pit stops. Brooklands To make the game as realistic as possible, all cars now start from the pit lane at Brooklands and must finish in the pit lane. Pause Escape will now pause the game, asking the player whether he/she would like to Quit or Resume. Changing from car to car in race The Tab key may now be used to jump between cars durng a race. Although it will not let you drive an AI car, you can watch it charge around the track. Viewable Distance The Home and End keys will no longer change the viewable distance. This may however be done by changing the level of detail in the options screen. F12 The F12 key will now allow the player to toggle his fuel/oil/tyre data during a race.
