There are known graphic corruption issues related to the following video cards: -ATi Rage128VR, Rage Fury MAXX, Rage IIc, 2D Rage Pro Turbo 2X -ATi Radeon, All in Wonder 128, Xpert 2000 -ATi Radeon 7200, 7500, 8500 -Intel 82810 -Matrox G200, G450, G550 -Diamond Viper 770 -Asus AGP-V6800 -GeForce 256 -Elsa Erazor III UPDATING to the MOST RECENT VIDEO DRIVERS from the manufacturer website, will solve most video problems related to this game. 4. There are known graphic issues when using ATI built Radeon 7200, 7500, or 8500 video cards as well as the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X video card with the latest drivers. If graphic issues occur, press Alt+Tab to back out of the program and Alt+Tab again to resume your game. 5. If the game does not function after it is installed, check your video card installation in your system settings to make sure that a video driver is installed for your video card in your computer. 6. This game requires you to at least have DirectX version 9.0 or higher. It is recommended that you restart your computer upon installing or upgrading to DirectX 9.0. Known Issues (AUDIO) -------------------- 7. Audio may not function properly on some sound cards, such as Analog Devices SoundMax, Sound Blaster Audigy 2, nVidia nForce NV-420D and nVidia nForce audio cards. Updating to the most recent audio drivers for your card or chipset will solve most audio issues related to this game. 8. If the game does not work properly or ceases to function after pausing and resuming the game, turn your Audio performance to Basic by doing the following: From the desktop, open Control Panel> Multimedia> Audio> Advanced Properties> Performance and set the slider to Basic. 9. There are known issues when using the SoundBlaster Audigy 2 NX and certain USB ports. Please try different USB ports on your machine if you experience any problems. Known Issues (OTHER) -------------------- 10. Windows states that disabling virtual memory is "not recommended" and "may adversely affect system performance". If you find that your computer is not loading the selected level, the game sound effects and music are distorted and/or the game is not functioning properly, please make sure that virtual memory is enabled. 11. There are known issues when running this game with insufficient hard disk space. Please make sure that you have 450MB available on your hard disk before playing the game. Please refer to section 3 (System Requirements) for more information. 12. If the game does not work properly or ceases to function while multitasking between opening Quicktime Player at the same time as playing this game, quit both Quicktime Player and the game, and then restart the game. 13. On some systems, performance is slower when Quicktime is running or is in the System tray. Closing QuickTime 6 or the Quicktime tray manager (qttask.exe) will return the game to normal speed. 14. The game requires Virtual Memory to be turned ON to function properly in Windows XP. 15. Uninstalling the game will remove all saved games except for Limited Access Users on Windows XP. 16. Net Messaging will interrupt gameplay. To disable net messaging, follow these directions. WARNING - Disabling Windows Messenger service will block any Administrator messages sent on a local server. To disable Windows messaging, you must be logged in to an Administrator account on Windows. To disable Windows messaging in Windows XP Home/Pro: 1. From the desktop, right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage. 2. In Computer Management, click on the '+' next to Services and Applications, then double-click on Services. 3. Scroll down the list that open in frame to the right, and highlight Messenger. 4. Click on the "Stop the service" link to turn messenger off. To disable Windows messaging in Windows 2000: 1. From the desktop, right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage. 2. In Computer Management, click on the '+' next to Services and Applications, then double-click on Services. 3. Scroll down the list that open in frame to the right, and highlight Messenger. 4. Double-click on Messenger and select Disable from the "Startup Type" drop down menu 17. Using ALT+TAB repeatedly may cause the game to become unstable. 19.
