Problems with the game: If you encounter problems with the game please do first check that your computer complies with all the minimum requirements listed in the manual. Please make sure that no other programs are running before starting STCC 2. Problems with the video cards: This game requires that your computer has a 3D card with DirectX 7.0 support for displaying a resolution of at least 640x480 pixels in 65,535 colors (4 MB or more video memory) and that your video card driver supports Direct3D. First of all make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, if unsure please check with the supplier of your computer or video card for the latest drivers. Memory problems: STCC 2 requires 64 MB of internal memory or more and that the Virtual memory handler is ACTIVE. We recommend that you let Windows(r) 98 or Windows(r) 2000 handle your virtual memory automatically (default setting) and that you have at least 30 MB of free hard disk space at all times. Sound problems: STCC 2 requires a sound card with support for DirectSound. If your sound card does not support DirectSound you may encounter jumping or distorted sound. We recommend that you get the latest sound card drivers from the manufacturer or supplier of your sound card. Network problems: STCC 2 requires an TCP/IP-compatible network and network adapter to allow play over a network. If you are uncertain that your machine has these capabilities, please contact your network administrator or the supplier of your network adapter. Please make sure that all network applications such as E-mail programs etc., are turned off before starting the game. For better network play make sure that the computer acting as the game SERVER is the most powerful. Network play is also affected by other network traffic. 4.
