System Requirements

*	MacOS 10.1.2 or later

Installation instructions
-------------------------

Double-click on the "THPS4 Mac Installer" icon and follow the prompts.  It will ask you where on the hard drive you would like to install the game folder.  We recommend a Games folder instead of using the Applications folder.  Under Mac OS X, if multiple people are using the computer, the Shared folder inside the Users folder is another good place to install.

We respond to most email questions within one business day of receipt.

If you experience difficulties in performance, you can make changes in the configuration options in the initial screen of the game.  You can go to a lower resolution choice and experiment with the other options to tweak it to your particular computer.  We recommend that FileSharing be turned off as well, and you may need to close other open applications, if they are conducting processes at the same time.

Some video cards may need a driver update for the game to work correctly.  Contact the manufacturer of your video card or check their website for any updates. Upgrading your OS through Software Update can also help fix problems that may occur with specific cards such as the GeForce4TI.

The game is not supported on a Mac OS X system formatted for Unix File System (this is intended for Mac OS X Server anyway, so this should not be a problem for game players).

MULTIPLAYER: This version allows you to host and join multiplayer games through the popular Macintosh matchmaking service, GameRanger. You can download a free copy of this utiliy from http://www.gameranger.com/.

Q:  Can I play Internet games if I am behind a firewall or router?
A:  Ports 5250-5251 are required open for behind firewall gameplay. Because players that are behind firewalls or routers may encounter connection problems when trying to host or join THPS4 games through the Internet, Aspyr does not support these devices. For technical support on this devices please contact your firewall or router maker.

Q: I have a dialup modem and when I host games, clients regularly drop out. Is my modem not working properly?
A: Due to their low bandwidth, Modems are only recommended for up to 4 players games. Please adjust your multiplayer options accordingly.
