Ever 17: The Out of Infinity is a visual novel video game developed by KID. It is the second entry in the Infinity series; it is preceded by Never 7: The End of Infinity, and followed by Remember 11: The Age of Infinity, 12Riven: The Psi-Climinal of Integral, and Code_18. It was originally released in Japan on August 29, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast, and was later ported to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Portable, Android, and iOS. A localization of the Microsoft Windows version was released by Hirameki International in North America in 2005.

I’ve been playing this running WXP on a VMware’s virtual machine and it works perfectly. Thanks.

None of the exe files run on Windows 10 (even with compatibility mode for widows 8.1) properly. The game crashes right after the game trailer/opening scene, before a main menu even shows up

It works for me on Windows 10 20H2, maybe try installing this patch https://www.reddit.com/r/InfinitySeries/comments/9v6zt6/ever17_himmel_edition_released/

If it doesn’t work then maybe there’s something wrong with your Win installation, this is an old game after all, you can try WinXP compatibility mode too.
