American McGee’s Alice is a third-person psychological horror action-adventure platform video game released for PC on December 6, 2000. The game, developed by Rogue Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, is an unofficial sequel to Lewis Carroll’s Alice novels. It was designed by American McGee and features music composed by Chris Vrenna. The game was published in Japan by EA Japan under the title Alice in Nightmare.

Have the original game discs and didn’t play it enuf. Then Windows OSs changed every year and controllers drivers changed, etc. Want to still play the game!

hi for some reason the game won’t save. I read the control manual that oldgames posted for it and how to save it. I did exactly that and the game will even say it saved to but then i’ll die or have to quit the game and go back to it only to see that it never saved. can someone help?

The game mostly works for me so far on WIN10, I’m just missing everyones voices in game.

    Place the pre-installation folder to (programs files x 86) and it should work. Like one of the above comments says.

Having issues with audio. When the game starts Alice’s voice is present but not Rabbit’s or Chesh’s.

If people are having issues trying to get the game to work, go to PCGAMINGWIKI.

Hey can someone help me? I downloaded this game in Windows 10 and for some reason the textures are buggy, they are smooth and no details i have increased the graficos to the maximum and this bug continues, Do not know what to do! someone helps me

When I started the “preinstalled version” of the game it gave me this issue as it couldnt start. I am using Windows 10

    The could not load default.cfg can be fixed by simply moving the game files into programs x86. That worked for me.

  I had the same issue, I even tried running as Admin and it didn’t fix the issue. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and ran as Admin, and it is working now, aside from some audio being missing.
