Game Description

After losing the official F1 license from Formula One Administration Ltd. to a multi-year exclusive licensing contract between FOA and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (publishers of the competing Formula One series on PlayStation/PlayStation 2) in late 2002 that became active starting from the 2003 season thus barring any developer, EA included, to make a game centered around these later seasons, the decision was made to produce one final game using the four seasons that EA Sports had previously licensed. F1 Career Challenge is the console version of F1 Challenge ’99-’02. It is the first F1 game which has a career mode. It is based on four seasons: the 1999 Formula One season, the 2000 Formula One season, the 2001 Formula One season and the 2002 Formula One season.

  1. I finally got the game running after lots of time spent in researching how to convert cue to iso, etc.
Anyone able to get this running on Windows 10? So far I haven’t been able to…

  2. This website and the download is a joke: The file that you download is a .CUE file which is NOT able to be ‘mounted.’ Windows “mounting apps” mount primarily .ISO files.
In order to be able to mount the .cue file, you have to convert it first to an .iso file.
After doing some google searches, I found no free apps that are able to convert .cue files to .iso files.

Why can’t oldgamesdownload.com grow a brain and make the process of installing games easy: No mounting files or converting files to be mounted; just a simple setup or .exe file.
Is it because this website is a fraudulent website?

      • After spending MANY hours attempting to get the game to run on Windows 10, I finally have been able to…but not without some problems and glitches.
The key for me to getting it to function on my Windows 10 system was a “Windows 10 fix” which I found on some other website which replaces the vanilla game’s .exe with an updated one.
However, though I was able to get the game running in WIDESCREEN mode using my DGVoodoo 2 graphics wrapper, this caused my car’s dashboard/cockpit view to have graphical glitches: In NON widescreen mode there are no graphic glitches (but I refuse to play any games without a widescreen fix), however in widescreen there are graphic glitches but only in the cockpit/dashboard.

I spent MANY MORE HOURS trying to solve these graphical glitches to no avail: I tried to find D3D8 replacements to my DGVoodoo’s D3D8 dll files. None of these replacements worked nor enabled widescreen capabilities.
After all of this, I ended up uninstalling the game. I’m now playing rFactor which I have owned for a year -as a replacement for F1 Challenge. My Steam rFactor game has no glitches and runs perfectly…

  3. lads, i’ve figured it out.
    step 1: same as above
step 2: convert the file to a .iso one, then right click on that one and “mount”
step 3: same as above (note: run it in file explorer, not in any other program)
    step 4: same as above
step 5: copy THE CONTENTS of the crack folder in the mounted file to the game folders (c/program files 86x/ ea sports/f1 challenge 99′-02′) and replace them
    step 6: it works, hopefully

  4. When I start the game, It says Enter Name, but I can’t enter anything. It doesn’t react to my keyboard or my controller. Game over I guess…
