  1. I keep getting a “general protection fault” error, no matter the installation method. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? I already checked my graphics card drivers

      • What if I don’t have one?
I’m also stuck at this step, I’m not sure where to past “game.exe” from the foulder “crack”. Tried a few places, nothing worked.

        • You literally can NOT lack the “System” folder because thats the one you download the game with. Look in your drive for the Harry Potter system folder and you WILL find it.

  3. I might be dumb, sorry, but how do I extract the folder inside? I tried using Method 1 for Windows, but after downloading the file, I could literally not do anything with it. I have no program to open it or extract anything. Can someone help?

  4. Hey, so I downloaded this game. Clicked new game and then the game started. But it’s only cutscenes. I was watching the cut scenes, pressed enter to skip some, but there doens’t seem to be a game. I skipped as far as the car driving to hogwarts and the whomping willow? When does the game actually start?

    • The game start at the Whomping Willow. I’m sorry this game isn’t like the PS1 and GBA where you also play inside the Burrow or Diagon’ Alley, that is quite a huge gap, but thats actualy where the game starts.

  7. downloaded the game via method 1 – running fine but there is no in game sound? When I go to launch the game there is sound in start menu section where you hover the mouse over the new game etc but when the game is launched there is no character dialogue sound (only subtitles) no in game music etc

    • Dialog didn’t work for me as well. I solved it by going to “C:Program Files (x86)EA GamesHarry Potter and the Chamber of SecretsSounds” after installation of the game. There, change the name of the .uax file from “AllDialog.USA_uax” to “AllDialog.uax”. This might work for you!

  8. Just downloaded this for my GF and here’s a few tips I found when downloading PC method 1:

    – I ran it in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2), which you can do in the Properties for the .exe / application file
    – I also ran the game as Administrator
    – Changed colours from 16 bit to 32 bit in the in-game menu which got rid of all the frame rate issues
    – The .exe / application file is in the system folder when you download it called Game
    – Used 7Zip for the extraction which is free

    • hi
it says i have no permission to edit the files, and that i should contact the owners lol
do you have any clues what to do?

      Reply
      • The owner normally means the administrator of the pc you’re using, which by default is the first account created on the device. There are weird windows bugs where this can happen if you are the administrator, Googling the issue is always a good way to try and fix these sort of issues. I hope you can solve the problem 🙂
