Addendum
Two features have been ad dcd to 688 Anack Sub to make it com patible with a
wider varlety of equipnent. One fcature addresses a speclfic problem that occu ed
with certain VGA boards; the other fenture is dcsiSncd to help make 684,4&c*
5/, comparible wllh a wider varicry of modcm5. Il you don't encounler Problems

Ifyouwant 688 to dial your phone calls for you, try editing theoriginal MODDM.688 filc in onc ofthe followingways:

MODijM.6E8 and type ln the following:

Check your modem nanual fo. equivalents to the V,1,, and X commands listcd above. These commands may not be suppolted by your
Tryuslng Xl or XZ instead ofX3. Somc modems claim to support X3
but really only work with X1.
Add othcrcommandsto the file. Tor P can set your modem for ton€ or
pulse dialin& resprctively. Ior cxample, the extra T tn this command
lnstructs your modem to tone dial:
