3: Compatibility problems
DirectX 9.0 c (supplied with the CD) must be installed to make the game work correctly.
For optimum functioning, you are recommended to install the latest drivers for your graphics cards.
Some graphics cards may create display problems, particularly those using the following boards:
NVidia GeForce FX 5200
NVidia GeForce 6200
ATI Radeon X1300 Series
If problems appear, you are recommended to launch the game using the lowest graphics quality in
the Options menu.
4: Known issues and troubleshooting
You are advised not to run any other program while playing Pippa Funnell 3, as this may slow
down the game's display.
You may remove the game CD once the game has launched, in particular if you wish to listen to
your own audio CD when the game permits. You are recommended not to reinsert the game CD
afterwards, however, as this will automatically relaunch the software in the middle of your game.
You are not advised to use the Alt + F4 keys to exit the game. In Windows 98 and Windows Me this
key combination can cause the application to stall.
For the same reasons, you are advised to avoid using the Alt + Tab buttons to toggle from the game
to another application or desktop.
After you change the options, you may encounter error messages as you exit the game. These do
not affect saved games.
5: Uninstalling the game
Watch out! When you uninstall the game, all saved games are automatically deleted.
6: Menu Options
The help messages displayed throughout the adventure refer to the default keyboard commands.
The help message always refer to the default setting even if you change the keyboard key
assignment in the Options menu.
In the "High + Glow" setting, the maximum screen resolution is limited to 1024/768 , even if you
choose a different resolution. To play the game in a better resolution, select "High" quality.
