Installation
To install Real Deal Slots, put the Real Deal Slots CD-ROM in
your CD-ROM drive. Windows 95, 98, or 2000 Autoplay will
automatically run the installation program. Click “Install” to
install Real Deal Slots, or click “Exit” to exit the install
program. The install program will automatically copy the
necessary files to your hard drive and create the proper
program icon. If Autoplay is disabled, double-click on the ‘my
computer’ icon on your desktop, then locate and double-click
on your CD-ROM drive. After locating the CD-ROM drive
double-click on the file named ‘setup.exe’ to begin installation
of the game. To run Real Deal Slots after installation, click the
START button on the taskbar, go to programs, then onto the
PHANTOM EFX selection. From there you can select Real
Deal Slots. When you are ready to uninstall the Real Deal
Slots from your hard-drive, you should do so by using the
Windows 95, 98, 2000 Add/Remove programs option found
under the Control Panel.

Registration
The single most important thing to do (of course) is register. You can
win prizes and be alerted of upcoming cool games by visiting
www.phantomefx.com/registration
Getting Started
After the introductory animation plays (you can skip it with a
mouse click or by pressing the ESC key on your keyboard) you
will be standing in the magnificent lobby of the Real Deal Slot
emporium.
Cashier’s Cage
When you first enter the game, or when you would like to
change players, you must visit the Cashier’s Cage. You will
also need to do this if you have depleted your funds and need
to get more cash.
Sound
If the ambient casino sound gets old, you can turn it off in the
Cashier’s cage by clicking on the ‘Ambient Off’ button.
Buttons
LOBBY – The lobby only has two buttons, which are found at
the bottom of the screen. On the left side of the slot selector
window is the “STATS” button. This button takes you to the

When you are standing in the lobby to Real Deal Slots, you see forty
individual slot machines and ten poker machines. Each machine in the
lobby is different from the next. When you move your mouse over the
different machines you will see their logo pop up in the slot selector in
the bottom center of the screen. When you have found the machine
you want to win your fortune on, just left-click on your mouse.
Vehicle Jackpot
The five machines in the top left of the casino give you the chance to
win a car! Play these machines to win the driveable jackpot.
Progressive Slots
At the top right of the casino there are the progressive jackpot slot
machines. The machines give you the chance to hit it extra big if you
can land the right combination.
Video Poker
The video poker machines are found directly under the progressive
jackpot slot machines.
Once you have left-clicked a machine from the lobby view, you are
presented with an option menu. From this menu you have the ability
to choose which denomination you would like to play the machine you
have selected. After selecting the denomination, your view will
change to the slot you have selected.
Types of Machines
There are seven different categories of machines in Real Deal Slots.
Each category represents a unique type of slot machine and are played
differently. The categories are as follows:

1 Payline
Single payline machines are the most common type of machine found
in any casino. These are also rumored be the easiest machine to hit the
“big one”. These machines have a single payline across the middle of
the reels. You will only be paid on combinations displayed on this
line.
3 Payline
Three payline machines are frequently found in a casino. These
slots have three horizontal lines across the reels. Each coin you add
activates the appropriate payline. If only one coin is added,
combinations falling on only the center payline will pay you.
However, if the max bet is entered into the machine, the chance for
multiple payouts is possible.
5 Payline
Five payline machines are fairly common in a casino. These machines
have the three horizontal paylines, like the 3-payline slots, but have
two additional diagonal lines that crisscross over the other three paylines.
Max bet on these type of machines is typically five coins, and all coins
need to be deposited into the machine to activate all paylines.
9 Payline
Nine payline machines are rarely found, but are becoming more
common in casinos. These machines have the same five paylines as
the machine described above, but have four additional paylines that
you can win on. The additional paylines may vary in the way they are
placed across the reels. To find out where paylines are, refer to the key
on the reel glass on the particular machine you are playing.
Special
"Special" machines are slots classified as having more than five reels, contain special
"Bonus Games", or are played differently than traditional slots. These machines are
extremely exciting to play and very addicting. They are new generation slots.
Wheel Slots
Wheel slot machines have a bonus wheel that enables you to win
additional coins if you get a chance to spin it. The chance to win bonus
coins makes these type of machines a favorite of casino goers.
Video Poker
Video Poker machines need no introduction. They have been a casino
favorite from the beginning of the digital age. There are a variety of
video poker machines found in Real Deal Slots. Every casino favorite
is represented, and a couple of our own as well.

Slot Machine specifics
After you have selected the machine you want to play from the lobby,
your view changes to the actual slot machine play view. You are
immediately asked how much money you want to deposit into the
machine. After typing in the amount and hitting the enter key, your
credits are displayed and you are ready to play for the big jackpot.
Putting $ In
When you have depleted the credits you originally deposited in
the machine you may want to deposit more to continue playing.
Just click on the coin or bill insert areas of the slot and the deposit box
will re-appear allowing you to deposit more.
Betting with Credit
When you originally put money in a slot machine, your money
is taken and given back in the form of ‘credits’. The credits are
displayed in the lower right corner of the game screen under
the heading “credits”. Each time you hit the “Max Bet” or
“Bet One” buttons, the credits will be deducted from your total.
When all credits have been used, you must deposit
more money.
Winning and Losing
When playing a slot machine, only combinations that appear on
activated paylines are awarded. On single payline machines,
only combinations that appear in the center are awarded. On
multi-line slot machines, additional coins must be entered to
activate higher or additional paylines.
Winning is easy, when a winning payline is revealed, watch
that cash roll in. When certain payouts are awarded, you may
get a chance to play a bonus game. If this happens the game
screen will change to the Bonus Game Screen. Here you will
be given additional information on how to play the bonus
game.

Changing Denomination
To change denomination while playing a slot, all you have to
do is click on the denomination that is displayed. Each time
you click the denomination displayed it will change to a higher
value until the maximum for that machine is reached. At this point
it will start again at the machine's lowest denomination.
You may also change denomination by selecting the machine
from the main menu and pre-selecting the denomination.
Cashing Out
To cash out on any machine, all you have to do is press the
“Cash Out” button. After you coins have exited the machine
you were playing, you will once again appear in the lobby.

Trophy Room
A unique aspect of Real Deal Slots and Video Poker is the
trophy room. You can reach the trophy room by clicking on
the ‘Trophy Room’ sign in the lobby. Upon doing so, you will
be presented with the trophy room screen. From this screen
you can purchase items with your VIP points you have
accumulated (VIP points will be described later in this section).
The items that are available for purchase are listed on the left
side of the screen. You will note that items available for
purchase are only revealed once you have enough VIP points to
purchase them. Once you click on the item you would like to
buy from the menu on the left side of the screen, you will be
presented with a description of that item. After reading the
description, you can decide whether or not you would like to
buy that particular item. If you decide to buy an item, a picture
accompanies the description of the item. You can click on the
picture to see a larger version.
Some of the prizes are worth a ton of money, therefore require a
substantial amount of VIP points to be amassed. As you move
through the game and can afford more expensive slot
machines, you will be able to accumulate more VIP points
more rapidly. The challenge is to see if you can but the top
prize!
VIP Points
In many casinos you have the ability to accumulate VIP points if
you become a VIP member. We make it easy for you. When
you first register at the cashier’s cage, you are automatically
enrolled in the Real Deal Slots and Video Poker VIP program.
It is easy to accumulate VIP points, all you have to do is play.
Each time you spend one dollar, you accumulate one VIP
point. If you spend a quarter on a slot machine, you will

accumulate 1/4th of a point. Refer to the chart below for
more information:

VIP points are automatically added to your total each time that
you play a slot machine. You can see the total number of VIP
points you have accumulated by visiting the trophy room or the
cashier’s cage. After an item is purchased the VIP points are
deducted from you account.

How to Play
Poker Basics
Poker, probably the best-recognized and most popular of
gambling card games, is a great game of chance, skill, and a
degree of psychology. Ask any two poker players what the
best strategy is and they will tell you drastically different
approaches. In this section we will describe a few of the basics
of this great game.
As there are many variations to the game, the basics are the
same. You are always dealt cards to begin the game. The goal
is get the best hand in every case. In video poker, there is
always five cards dealt to you immediately.
Video poker uses a standard deck, therefore each of the four
suits is represented: clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades. Each
suit is equal unless there is a special variation on the game. To
accompany the four suits of twos through aces may be two
jokers, depending on the variation of the game.
Ranking
In the game of video poker, five cards make up the hand. The
goal is to have the best five cards to win more money. Here is
a ranking of hands:
Five of a Kind
Five of a kind is only possible is there are wild cards involved
in the deck, such as you will find in the game ‘Deuces Wild’
and ‘Jokers Wild’.
Royal Flush
A royal flush is a straight flush with that is “Ace high”.
Straight Flush
A straight flush is a run of five cards all having the same suit in
common, such as: 2,3,4,5,6 of hearts.

Four of a Kind
This rare hand is exactly what it sounds like, a hand of five
cards containing four cards of the same number such as: eight
of hearts, eight of diamonds, eight of spades, eight of clubs.
Full House
This is a combination of a Three of a Kind and a Pair in the
same hand such as: 10,10,10, King, King.
Flush
A flush is a hand in which all cards are of the same suit, such
as each of the cards being clubs.
Straight
A straight is having a sequence of five in the hand. When
making the sequence an Ace can be considered high or low.
The cards do not have to have a suit in common.
Three of a Kind
Three cards of the same rank constitute this hand. The cards do not
have to be the same suit. An example is 5,5,5 (it does not mater what
the other two cards are).
Two Pair
A hand which has two pairs has two different pairs of equally ranking
cards, such as: Queen, Queen, 3,3.
Pair
A pair is two cards that match in number, but not suit.
Double Up Premium Poker
Double Up Premium Poker is a special game in Real Deal Slots and
Video Poker. In this game , you have the chance to double your
winnings as many times as you can after a winning hand. After you
receive a winning hand you will be asked if you wish to “Double Up”.
If you say yes you will be shown a card and have a choice of four
cards to beat the shown card. If you win you have a chance to double
further or take the winnings. In the event of a tie, you retain your bet,
but have the option to try again.

Poker Spin for Cash
In Poker Spin for Cash, if you win on a hand that is equal in
ranking to a Full House or higher, you will have a chance to win bonus
cash! After the hand is drawn, your view changes to the wheel at the
top of the machine and you can watch to see what you have won.
After the wheel comes to rest, the credits are added to your machine
and you return to the normal view.

GUIDE. After you install Adobe Acrobat, the Acrobat
software license agreement appears on your hard drive in the
default Acrobat installation directory.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Phantom EFX warrants to the original purchaser of this
Phantom EFX product that the compact disc on which the
software program is recorded to be free from defects in
material and workmanship for 90 days from the date of
purchase. If the compact disc is found defective within 90 days
of the original purchase, Phantom EFX agrees to replace, free
of charge, the product discovered to be defective. Include a
copy of the dated receipt, your name, address, and a statement
of the defect. Phantom EFX will replace the product and return
it to you or issue you a credit equal to the purchase price if a
replacement is not available. If the software media was
damaged through misuse or accident, you will need to follow
the returns after warranty period detailed below.
RETURNS AFTER WARRANTY
To replace defective media after the 90-day warranty period
has expired, send the defective media, a copy of the original
sales receipt, a return address, and a small note describing the
difficulties you are experiencing to the address below. Enclose
a statement of the defect, your name, your return address, and a
