The Formac Proformance 3 card works very well.
ATI 128 Rage Orion, X-Claim VR 128, and Nexus 128 are great Mac cards! Get one!
ATI Nexus GA (http://www.atitech.com), using Rage-Pro chipset.
ATI XClaim VR, XClaim 3D (http://www.atitech.com)... GET THE MEMORY UPGRADE TO 8 MEG!
All ATI cards with the Rage-2 chipset, DO work, BUT THESE CARDS ARE SLOW, AND NEED A MEMORY
UPGRADE TO 6 MEG FROM ATI TO HAVE A CHANCE OF WORKING. 6 meg does not cut it any more.
MacTell Vision3D PRO II (http://www.mactell.com)... you should get the 8 meg card... this card is a little bit pricey.
NewerTech RenderPix (http://www.newertech.com/video/renderpix.html), a very expensive but powerful video card.
MACINTOSH 3DFX CARDS ARE SUPPORTED by a sort of patch. Click here to download the drivers.
The Voodoo-3 cards for Mac actually work quite well, we are told.
Any G3 will work with it's base card, (some were shipped with Rage-2's and some were shipped with Rage-Pro's) but if you have less
than 6 meg of RAM on the chip then you will need to get a memory upgrade from ATI to at least 6 meg. This is not recommended for
Rage-2 chips because they are slower chips... if you have a Rage-2 chip on your G3 then you should consider getting one of the cards
at the top of this list.
