Hi. First of all, thank you for providing this amazing game, my childhood comes alive playing this. However, I’ve encountered a small problem before playing. When I execute the .exe file, it shows me the error “The code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_26.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.”. I went to your wiki page, there they mentioned something about antivirus deleting the required files so I turned down the antivirus and reinstalled the game. still its showing the same error. so I left a comment. Please advice.
download directx windows from microsoft website and then extract the particular module that is missing ie d3dx9_26.dll try wit both (x86,x64)
then copy paste it in root folder of nfs
yes…installed directx from microsoft, didn’t need to do anything else. The has started working. Thanks a ton!

Eu baixei essa .dll pela internet e deu certo.
Só baixar a versão 32bits e extrair aonde o jogo foi instalado, no meu caso C:\Arquivos de Programa (x86)\NFS Most wanted

ITs direct X error, you guys need the same version for that one, which is DirectX Redist from 2010
