    This actually works when I extract the file and play the download application and then the actual folder and then the actual game 😀

    its 1.4 so it works with a ton of mods like the redux one 😀

        When you extract the files. Click the `speed.exe` app icon in the extracted folder. It will start the game setup wizard. Make sure to uncheck the optional checkbox otherwise it will unlock all the cars for you.

        Once the installation is complete, navigate to the folder where the game is installed (in my case I installed it in C:\system32\Program Files (x32)). Download and install DirectX 9 from Microsoft (Google “directX 9 download”). After installing DirectX 9 to your machine. Right-click the and in the window that pops up, select “compatibility” tab. Set the game to run as Windows 7 or 8. Save changes and close the window.

        Double-click `speed.exe` file to run and play the game.

          When you start the game its asks you to create an alias name. If you did so the game automatically saves your current career progress. If not enable “Autosave” in the game “Options” to On.
