NOTES
-----

DIRECTX and Windows 2000 USERS
We have successfully tested AQUARIUM on Windows DIRECTX 7.0a which
was available on Windows 98/95 versions at the release of the game.
We recommend the usage of DIRECTX 7.0a or higher.
However, as Windows 2000 drivers are still being finalised, we
cannot guarantee the game's performance on this operating system.

-----------------------------------------------------------
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-------------------
It is recommended to run AQUARIUM under the following:

OPERATING SYSTEM:
Microsoft Windows 98/95 (Windows NT is not supported)

CPU:
166MHz or faster Intel Pentium

MEMORY:
64 MB RAM

HARD DRIVE SPACE:
30 MB minimum (165 MB recommended for saved games)
Note: Additional space required for DIRECTX(tm) 7.0a installation.

CD-ROM:
4X CD-ROM drive (600K/second transfer rate) using
32-bit Windows 95/98 CD-ROM driver

TROUBLE SHOOTING
----------------

Please read the Install Manual carefully before installing AQUARIUM.
Note that AQUARIUM is a High Color (16bit) game and you must confirm
appropriate settings for optimum results.

EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS RUNNING AQUARIUM?
When you load AQUARIUM, the game attempts to find the
best graphics option for your machine. It is possible that this
check can fail because of non-standard hardware or drivers. Should
you have any problems running the game, please check the following:
OptionHELP.
This can be found from the START bar if you select Programs and follow
through to Electronic Arts task bar.
It is also located in the directory to which you installed
the game, which is probably C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\AQUARIUM.
Here you will find information on:
  Size: Video Card, VRAM and Hardware Support
  Sound:  On/Off and Volume
  Operation: Mouse or Keyboard (Button configuration)
  3D Graphics: Poly Display and 3D Screen Size
  Draw:  General game response

These will assist you in setting up your machine for appropriate graphic
options for this game, and disable the use of any 3D hardware if necessary.

3DFX CARDS
Owners of early 3DFX graphics cards such as Voodoo1 should choose
to run the game using their primary video card from the in-game
options screen, and select software rendering. AQUARIUM will reconfirm
whether you are using VOODOO/VOODOO2/VOODOO Rush.

The following reference drivers have been tested:
@3dfx Voodoo 4.10.01.0017
@3dfx Voodoo2 4.11.01.1151
@3dfx Voodoo Rush 4.10.01.2073

@Intel 810 4.12.01.2586
@S3 Savage4 4.12.01.8215-8.20.18

3dfx Voodoo Voodoo2
  Please adjust your Size option so that VRAM is disabled for these.

3dfx Voodoo Rush
  Full screen 16bit 640x480 and disabling VRAM also is recommended.

If you successfully install and boot AQUARIUM intitially but then on
your second play attempt some fo the screens or 3D graphics show signs
of blurriness, please Quit the game, reboot your machine and start the
game again.

NOTE:
We have found serious problems with AQUARIUM on the following drivers
therefore we can not recommend complete compatibility:

3Dlabs Permedia 2  4.10.01.2105-0366WHQL
3Dlabs Permedia 2
and Some Millennium cards.

ALT-TAB SWITCHING
You may use Alt-Tab to switch between the game and the Windows
desktop. However, when switching back to the game it is possible
that some graphics may become corrupted. This depends on your
video card and driver - if you experience this problem, we
suggest that you do not use the Alt-Tab function.

NON-MMX MACHINES
PCs which are not equipped with MMX technology, including early
Pentium and Pentium Pro-based machines, are not supported by AQUARIUM.
