A-General recommendations:
--------------------------

1-DirectX 7.0a drivers for all devices

To run the game properly, please be sure to have the latest
fully compatible drivers for DirectX7.0a for all your devices.
Check this at your card manufacturer's web site:

2-Close all other programs

Closing all programs before starting to play Beetle Crazy Cup is highly
recommended.

3-Switching to Windows

Please note that the use of some Windows default keys such as :"Alt + Tab" or
"Ctrl-Esc" can cause a return to the main desktop. You may not be able to
switch back to the game properly. Pressing "Alt+F4" automatically shuts down
the game.

B-Extra features:
-----------------

1-Access to more screen resolutions

The video setup provided has been safely locked to ensure
compatibility with most video cards. However, this disables
access to a large number of resolutions that your video card could
support.

The following instructions enable you to "open" the total amount of
resolutions available for your video device. However please note that
these resolutions have not been fully tested. If you enable this
feature and the game does not work properly, you could always return
to the initial fully tested resolutions video setup. This action will
not harm your machine in any case.

All this is done by adding the argument "/all" to the VideoSetup.exe
program like this:

- Click on the Start menu.

- Select programs/Beetle Crazy Cup

- Right-click on the "Video setup" link

- Select "Properties"

- In the "destination" box, add " /all" (separated by a space from
 the last quotation mark)

To return to the fully tested resolutions, follow the same steps
and delete the " /all".

2-Automatic switch to an appropriate resolution

If your system does not support the resolution you've selected in
the video setup, the program will automatically switch to a lower
resolution.

3-Eight players via local network

Please note that the maximum number of players you can have in a
local network game is 8 and not 6.

4-Internet contest

Check the Beetle Crazy Cup web site, for more exciting features,
and for the Internet contest!

C-Troubleshooting guide:
------------------------

1-Error message in the launcher

If you've manually made a shortcut to your CD drive and try to
reinstall the game, or run this readme file by clicking on the
corresponding icon on the launcher, a message may appear:
<Can't find ".\data\install.exe">. This can be fixed by
following these steps :

- Select the properties of the shortcut to your CD-ROM drive
by pressing the right mouse button on it.
- In the "Start in" edit box, enter the CD destination drive letter,
for example D:\ if D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

2-Non-centred image

Some monitors do not centre the image automatically when choosing
a new display resolution. This may cause a strange effect when the
display changes from the main menu to the game if their resolutions
are different. You should be able to centre the image with the monitor
controls. Please refer to the monitor's manual and follow the manufacturer's
instructions.

3-Beep! from the computer's speaker

Some keyboards do not accept more than a certain number of presses at
once. The result of that action is a "beep" from the speaker of the
computer and an instant pause of the displayed image. If you have
this problem, it is recommended that you use another game controller
device, especially when playing in split screen mode.

4-Short "freezes" during the game

If you experience short "freezes" while playing, try turning the
music volume off from the game's sound options

5-Jerky images

If the game is not smooth enough while playing, it is recommended
to change to a lower video resolution to increase the frame rate.
You can also try lowering the graphical details from the game's main menu.
