* This is very important for playing the 3D game. Any specification below this, and you will not be able to play the game.
How do I run the CDROM?
Insert the CD-ROM in the drive.
Your CD-ROM will automatically bring up a menu. There are four things you can do here
1. Install video codecs on your computer. You have to do this only once. If you do not install these drivers your CDROM may not work.
2. Install Microsoft Media Player 7.1. The video codecs do not run with obsolete lower versions of media player (lower than 6.4). You have to install this if you do not have adequate version of the media player.
3. Install Microsoft Direct X 8.0 for playing the 3D game. The game engine will malfunction if proper direct x drivers and 3D acclerator card is not present.
3. View this Read Me file. This readme file contains information on system requirements, trouble shooting methods, support info etc.
4. Run the CDROM. Most often you may need to click here only.
There are three modes in which the game can be played -
Normal mode, 8 Bit mode and weak mode. The last two modes are required for poor performance machine and for trouble shooting. But in most cases you should use the Normal mode
In case the CD-ROM doesn't play, click on START on the Windows 95/98 task-bar and then on RUN.
BROWSE for CDROM drive, and then click on the executable file
Click on OK button and the CDROM will start.
Uninstalling the software
This program does not install anything on your system except for certain Microsoft drivers, which are anyway required by a typical system.
Generally pressing ESC key will bring the bring the software to the main menu.
Pressing ESC again from the main menu will quit the application.
Navigating through the CDROM has been kept very intuitive.
Q. Why does the program run slow and jerky?
A. This product is rich in sound, animations and other features. Ensure that you run the CDROM on a system that meets the Minimum System Requirements given above.
Many applications may be open at a time. Close all other applications, screen savers, and return the program.
Q. Why do I not see proper colour?
A. Check that you your display is set to at least (16 bit) video mode. Change the video mode from control panel/display.
Q. Why does the program run in a small window?
A. You may be running the program in more than 640x480 resolution. Change the video mode to 640x480x256 color mode from control panel/display.
Q. Why does the program quit abruptly or hang?
A. Like any other 3D games, this program is also resource intensive. Failure in any of the resources such as Windows media control interface or corrupt windows drivers may abort the application or hang the system. Restart the application. Re-install the media drivers from your Windows installation disk or from this CDROM if applicable.
Q. Why don't I hear any sound?
A. Please ensure that you have a 16 bit sound card. Also ensure that you have all the Windows drivers loaded for the sound card. The best way to ensure sound in Windows is to run the Windows media player and play an audio file.
Q. Why is the sound too low or too high?
A. If your sound card has a mixer (this is usually there in the system tray), ensure that the master volume and the wave volume are not muted and the levels are sufficiently raised or lowered as needed. If your system has amplified speakers, ensure that the power to the speakers is turned on and the volume control on the speaker suitably adjusted.
Q. My video does not play.
A. Ensure that you install the video drivers from the menu that comes up in the beginning. If the problem persists, install the compatible Windows Media Player you can find in the drivers folder in this CDROM.
Q. My 3D game does not run.
A. Please ensure that you have the minimum system requirements as mentioned. Direct X driver 8.0 should be installed and should be running. You can check this from the Control panel. Try executing one of those incase you have a weak 3D card.
Known issues
Although this game is thhoughly tested by several beta testers and on different system configuration, the program may respond differently on differnt systems due to their configuration or limitation. Some of the issues that we have noted on some rare erratic machines are -
1. Before a new game starts if a game is saved, you may need to press the ESC key twice to resume.
2. Press ENTER before saving a name for the gameplay.
3. Some rare machines may not load back the saved game from the hard disk.
