In this "readme" file you'll find a few valuable tips for installing the
Bioscopia CD-ROM.

1. General tips
======================
Playing "Bioscopia" works best if your monitor is set to 600 x 800 and 16 bit.
Prior to starting Bioscopia all other programs should be closed, especially
Windows Explorer.The CD-ROM should be in the CD-ROM drive the entire time you are playing.
In case you experience problems at start up, please first check that Quick Time 4.0 is installed.
On the CD-ROM you will find a directory called Quick Time. To install Quick Time, please run
the file Quick TimeInstaaller.exe (see below).
In case you experience problems with running Quick Time movies, please check the Quick Time
settings. You will find these under: Start button/Settings/System control/Quicktime.
Here, in the field "Video" "Reliable mode (OnlyGDI)" must be activated.
In the field "Replay" "WaveOut" must be activated. With Mac OS some conflicts between
system extensions and control panels might occur. Setup is not possible under
system 8.5 if Adobe Type Manager is installed. In this case, under
control panels/extensions on/off, please configure a system with a new name,
and turn off the extensions not needed for the game.
Please note the minimum requirements for your computer to be able to run this game:

WIN (minimum requirements): 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Pentium II 233 MHz, 64 RAM, 120 MB
free hard disk space, graphics card (32 bit), sound card , 8x-speed CD-ROM drive
MAC (minimum requirements)

2. Installation the CD-ROM
==========================
During installation please note the following:
Windows:
Insert the CD-ROM "Bioscopia 1" into your CD-ROM drive. Open your explorer to view
the contents of the CD-ROM. Double click on setup.exe and follow the instructions.
After installation is complete, you can start the game by double clicking onto the
"Biosopia" icon on your desktop or in the Tivola program group. Before, you need to
insert the CD-ROM "Bioscopia 2"
By the way, you can erase all game information from your computer at any time with Uninstall.
To do that you need to click the "Delete Bioscopia" icon in the Tivola games folder,
and follow the instructions.
Macintosh:
Insert the CD-ROM "Bioscopia 1" into your CD-ROM drive and start installation with "Bioscopia setup".
Follow the instructions.
Insert the 2nd "Bioscopia" CD-ROM, then click on the "Bioscopia" icon in this folder to start
the game.
To erase this program from your hard drive, drag the file "Bioscopia" from the
hard drive into the recycle bin.

3. Installing QuickTime, and Acrobat Reader

QuickTime
---------
You need the QuickTime program to play this game.
Is QuickTime already installed on your computer? Then you can start the game immediately.
Do you need to install QuickTime? Here's how:
Enter the command "X:qt16.exe" in the menu "File/Run".
Replace the "X" with the letter for your CD-ROM drive. Click "OK" and follow the instructions.
Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP:
Without autostart: Click "Run" in the Start menu.
Enter the command " X:\qt32.exe" in the menu. Replace the "X" with the letter for
your CD-ROM drive.
Click "OK" and follow the instructions.
When installation is complete, you can start the game with the "Bioscopia" icon in the
Tivola games folder or through the link on the desktop.
Macintosh:
You can find a "QuickTime" folder right on the CD-ROM. Open it, click "Install QuickTime"
and follow the instructions. When installation is complete, you can start the game with the
"Bioscopia" icon.
Acrobat Reader
--------------
You need the Acrobat Reader program to open the Help.pdf file. Inside the Help.pdf, you'll find
the game solution.
Is Acrobat Reader already installed on your computer?
If you get stuck, you can look in the Help file at any time during the game.
Do you need to install Acrobat Reader? Here's how:
Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP:
Insert your Bioscopia CD-ROM 1. Open your CD-ROM drive and the CD-ROM. There, you´ll find an "Acrobat Reader" folder.
Open it, double click "Reader Installer.exe" to open and follow the instructions.
Once Acrobat Reader is installed, you can open the Help.pdf.
Macintosh:
You can find an "Acrobat Reader" folder right on the CD-ROM. Open it, click "Reader Installer" and follow the instructions.
When installation is complete, you can open the Help file.
