MOST FREQUENT PROBLEMS
If you experience any problems whilst running the Windows '95 versions
of Conquest Earth you should first check that you have the correct
settings in your Display Properties. To do this you should open
MY COMPUTER, then open CONTROL PANEL and then DISPLAY PROPERTIES.
Then click on the SETTINGS tab and check that your Desktop Area is set
to 800 by 600 pixels, and that your Colour Palette is set to at least
High Colour (16bit) mode.
If you are still experiencing any problems running Windows '95 versions
of the game you should check that you have the most current Driver
versions for your hardware. To check this either look up the
manufacturer of the hardware and check the driver version/dates on the
World Wide Web, or contact your manufacturer's Technical Support line
(a contact number should appear in any documentation that came with
the hardware).
Some users will find LAN Network games run slowly when playing using
a Windows '95 executable. To run a Network game it is
therefore recommended that all players run an MS-DOS executable,
through Windows '95.
If, when running the Windows '95 versions of the game, you experience
any further difficulties you should Shut down your computer and restart
in MS-DOS mode.
On some high end machines Conquest Earth may run too quickly, such as
P 200+. You can alter the game speed, whilst playing, as follows:-
< decreases game speed
> increases game speed
If, when playing the game in MS-DOS, the Music volume is too loud, you
can alter it via the keyboard as follows:-
- lower music volume
+ increase music volume
