DISCWORLD NOIR
INSTALLING THE GAME
Insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive.
If you have 'Autorun' enabled it will automatically run and all
you need do is follow the instructions on screen.
If not, select 'Run' from the 'Start' menu, select your CD-ROM drive using the'Browse'
button and select 'Setup.exe' from the 'file' menu.
After installation, you will be asked if you want to put a shortcut to Discworld Noir
on your desktop and then asked if you want play Discworld Noir.
UNINSTALLING THE GAME
Insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive.
Use the uninstall that comes with the game setup, for those with 'Autorun' uninstall
will be apparent upon putting the game CD into your CD drive.
For those without 'Autorun' enabled, follow the Installation instructions above to
recieve the 'Uninstall' option.
NB - Sometimes, having uninstalled the game the Discworld Noir game icon may remain
in the 'START' bar, to remove this:-
-Go to the 'Start' bar menu and 'Settings'
-Left click on the 'Taskbar and Start menu ...' option
-Left click on the 'Start Menu Programs' tag
-Left click on the 'Remove' option
-Left click on the 'Discworld Noir' icon so it is highlighted then choose 'OK'
This should have removed the Discworld Noir icon from your Start bar menu.
SOUND PROBLEMS
On low specification machines you may experience audio looping when scenes are loading
or upon entering scenes - to solve this problem you may try the following:-
-Right click on 'My Computer' on your PC desktop
-Go to 'Properties'and left click on that
-Left click on the 'Device Manager' file heading
-Left click on the '+' symbol next to the 'CDROM' label
-Right click on the name of your CDROM drive
-Left click on 'Properties'
-Left click on the 'Settings' file heading
-Check/tick the box entitled 'DMA'
-Click 'OK' - this should prompt you to restart your computer, if it does not then,
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER
Note: This should only be selected for DMA compatible CD-ROM drives.
GAMMA CORRECTION
On some video cards the Gamma Correction may not work, this will not prevent you from
playing the game.
FRENCH AND GERMAN VERSIONS
On some machines the In Game Loading Screens and graphics for the notepad clues may
appear in English. To change this, save your game, exit the game and reload the saved
game. From here on all text should appear in the correct language whenever you play
the game.

here or in the Manual you got with the game, you should call the Technical
Helpline which operates between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
