This game was created for the DarkBasic Ski Competition in early spring of 2002.
*ALL* coding, graphics, and audio were done by me -- founder, president, and sole member of Krunchopia!

Playing is straightforward and explained within the game. Dude must simply race against the clock or
scoreboard to achieve goals to reach the next level. Your progress is saved, so that everytime you
start the game, it will pick up after your last completed level. If you want to start over, delete the
dude.cfg file in the game directory. Your options will be reset and you will begin at Level 1. Plus,
if you beat the game, it will start you at Level 1 again. After beating Level 9, you will get the prize
at the end of the game!
*** If, for some reason, you find it impossible to beat a level, set the game options lower (less trees,
spray, and/or snow). This will allow the game to run faster and give you more time. (I had no time to work
out a system for making time/distance/scoring constant across different frame rates.)
*** KNOWN BUG: On any level where you have to ski through gates, you *may* get "buzzed" for missing a gate even
if you didn't. This only seems to happen when you are going very fast on these levels. Sorry... but I didn't
have enough time to debug it! (this is rare, but just letting you know)
*** CHEAT: I have put in a very easy cheat for you to pick which level (1-9) you want to play. Try and figure
it out.

Unfortunately, I had to rush at the end to get this thing finished. Working two jobs and moving made
things difficult! If only I had more time....
Anyway, I am very pleased with the final product, although there is much room for improvement. I really
wish the voices sounded better, but it was all I could do at the time. However, I am *SUPER* happy with
the graphics (considering I'm a programmer and not an artist). My snow and spray particle system are
awesome if I do say!!! Making the music was fun too! The levels aren't the greatest or that difficult,
but, hey, as long as Dude is happy!

Hehe... good for you! The cheat is to just press 1-9 on the main menu screen to pick the level you want.
Dude will announce his approval! But, you really should just play the game all the way through!
