________________________________________________________________________________
Game installation :
-------------------
Insert the Loco Mania CD into your CD-ROM drive / or run LM_setup.exe.
After a few seconds the installer window will appear on your monitor.
Select the language for installation.
Click "Next" to begin the installation process. Then follow the on-screen
instructions. After the first start of the game, your screen will turn black
for several seconds in order to transfer graphical shaders so that they are
compatible with your hardware.
CD-Key :
To run the game you must have a valid CD-Key. Your unique CD-Key is affixed
to the inside of the packaging under the CD holder or printed on top of the CD.
After you start the game for the first time you'll be prompted to enter the
CD-Key. The CD-Key consists of four parts, and every part has to be entered
into a separate box that will be activated for typing after it is pointed at
by the mouse.
Keep your CD-Key safe and private in case you need to re-install the game at
a later point. Without a valid CD-Key you will not be able to play Loco Mania.

Gameplay :
----------
The scoring rules are: a train in is one negative point, a train out is two
positive points on the score. The goal is to reach the pass-mark (a grey
number in the left corner), which means that new trains stop entering the map,
and only after the player clears out all the remaining trains currently
present in the trackage, he/she can proceed to the next level.
Entering trains need to be manually let in by showing the green light on a
semaphore. There are 3 special trains:
1) train with stops that needs to be stopped in stations whose icons hover above
the loco (you must respect the order as well),
2) countdown train that must be cleared out of the trackage before the time
runs out
3) biohazard train that must not stop anywhere (each stop brings 5 negative
points).
There's a tutorial map that will teach you every key point of the gameplay.
(This map is the first one in the list of maps)
Detailed information can be found in the game manual.

Four game modes :
------------------
1. Time Attack
The main playing mode in Loco Mania. It unlocks the next map.
The map is finished if the score reaches a certain number – a so-called
pass-mark. This number is derived from the number of trains cleared out
of the map and the trains currently present on the map. The pass-mark
is different for each map. If you reach it, the next map will unlock
atomatically. The final time is written onto the table and it is possible
to upload it. The score time is sorted in ascending order.
2. Check Point
An established principle taken over from racing games transferred to
the train environment. You have 10 minutes of time to provide as many
trains as possible through the map (time decreases). Each successfully
finished train adds 1 min of time to the total. When the time reaches 0,
the score is written in. The scores are sorted in the table in descending
order.
3. Time Attack Unlimited
Working on any unlocked map. There is no pass-mark.
This mode has no set finish. The result is the score count + time. The mode
has a time policy (set for 30 minutes as default) to avoid player non-activity.
You can end this mode at any time and your score will be written in.
4. Freerun
Working on any unlocked map. There isn't any score counter. In this mode you
can freely ride all of the map with just one train. When the train leaves the
map, a new one is introduced.

Results on the Web :
--------------------
You can let others know about how well you are at playing in a certain map
and game mode. There's a global results overview accessible on the web
or partly through the game application itself.
Web page : http://www.loco-mania.com/scores.php
allows you simpler and more transparent orientation in score tables for each
play mode and individual maps. Your web account serves to show your general
score among all players.
Your only identification visible to other players is your nickname,
so select it carefully and do not change it.
You can open your Loco Mania web account by clicking on menu UPLOAD to
WEB ACCOUNT button. In this case your account will be
automatically established and will open in new window of the web
browser. You can always open your account by clicking on this
button in the future and the game will automatically close down.
