<starting>
Go to the Start menu,
Select the Programs folder,
Select the Gremlin Interactive folder,
Select the Men in Black folder,
Select Men in Black.
<keyboard controls>
Character movement:
Up Arrow: Walk forward,
Down Arrow: Walk backward,
Left Arrow: Turn left,
Right Arrow: Turn right.
Modifiers (u/d/l/r):
with Shift key: Walk/Walk/Turn/Turn quickly,
with Ctrl key: Jump: Forward or Up/none/Left/Right,
with Ctrl+Alt keys: none/none/Dodge left/Dodge right.
Attack: Alt key (u/d/l/r):
No Weapon in hand: Kick/Block/Left hook/Right hook,
Weapon in hand: Shoot/none/Aim left/Aim right.
Additional keys:
Caps Lock key: Inventory screen,
Insert key: Toggle icons,
Del key: Drop item,
Home/End keys: Cycle weapons,

Key usage:
To use an inventory item press the space bar whilst holding the
item. To drop the item press the del key. To examine things
in the room, face the item and press space. To open a door (if
unlocked) face it and press space, if it is locked you will
need to have the key in your hand. To pick up an item, face the
item and press space. The space bar is used quite a lot during
this game.
<<Initial walkthrough>>
Walk into the apartment and immediately go to your left into the
kitchen. Defeat the guard and then walk to the bomb on the wall.
You now need to diffuse the bomb.
To diffuse the bomb press the use key, (space bar), while facing it.
The bomb will come up and the red light be circling. When the red
light illuminates the biggest portion of the bomb's display, use the
mouse to click on the bomb wire. The bomb is now diffused. Hit the
use key to return to the kitchen.
Go back to the living room and defeat the thug. Proceed into the
bedroom and defeat this thug. Chase the alien by running to the
window and hitting the use key to open the window.
It's up to you to chase down the alien and bring him in!
<<Troubleshooting>>
Q: The screen image is too dark!
A: Try adjusting the contrast on your monitor. If your video card
has extended options for adjusting the gamma correction level
you can adjust them in the control panel under the Display icon.
Q: I got a message saying "out of multimedia resources" - what
should I do?
A: Quit the game and then reboot your machine. The game should run
fine now.
Q: The game seems sluggish the longer I play.
A: Save your current game, quit out of MiB, restart the game, and
then load your saved game.
Q: My sound is sometimes garbled, or there is lots of static.
A: Try to download the latest version of you DirectSound drivers
from your sound card's manufacturer.
Q: The game won't run when my desktop is in 24-bit colour depth mode.
A: Switch your colour resolution to 16 or 8-bit colour depth mode in
the Control Panel under Display.
