INTRODUCTION
Refer to this document if you encounter difficulties with one or more aspects of installation or running the OutRun2006: Coast 2 Coast game. Many of the most commonly encountered issues are covered here.

INSTALLATION & SET UP ISSUES
Minimum System Requirements
• Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP
• Pentium® 4 1.3GHz (1300MHz) or equivalent Athlon
• 256MB RAM
• DVD drive
• 1 GB of uncompressed free hard disk space (plus 500MB for Windows® swap file)
• 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers
• 100% Windows® 2000/XP compatible keyboard and latest drivers
• 100% Windows® 2000/XP compatible mouse and latest drivers
• DirectX® 9.0c (included)
• 640 X 480 Monitor Resolution
• 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible 128MB Hardware Accelerated video card and the latest drivers*.
Multiplayer Requirements:
• Internet (TCP/IP) and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported.
• Internet play requires broadband connection and latest drivers.
• LAN play requires network interface card and latest drivers.

VIDEO ISSUES
Drivers
Before attempting to make any changes to your system, please ensure that you have the latest drivers for your video card. Please refer to the video card documentation for additional details.
Flickering graphics on ATI graphic cards
Some users may experience flickering on ATI cards, should this occur to you, please click the check box for fog in the configuration program and turn fog off.
Screen Resolution
When setting resolutions that are different to your desktop resolution some of the screen may be cut off. To correct this you must manually adjust the monitor settings on the monitor itself. Please refer to the monitor manual for specific instructions.
Mip-mapping and view distance
Because of the games long draw-distances involved with the game, if you have a fast graphics card we recommend for the best experience to set your graphics card to the best mip-mapping level it supports. Please download and install the latest drivers.
NVIDIA
1)Right click on the desktop and select properties
2)Select advanced
3)Select Geforce tab
4)Move Image quality to its highest setting
ATI
1)Right click on the desktop and select ATI CATALYST(R) Control Center
2)Select 3D tab/3D Quality and then go
3)Set overall setting to the highest quality

SOUND
Audigy 2
Some users may experience sound distortion and dropout on Creative Audigy 2 soundcards. Please make sure that you download the latest drivers for your soundcard.

GAMEPLAY
Quitting the game
To quit the game, press the ESC button until the game asks if you want to quit the game. Select 'YES' and press enter to quit the game.
DUAL CORES
OutRun2006: Coast 2 Coast is compatible with dual core PC's. However, should the game experience problems with your dual core PC, please set the affinity of the program to one of the CPU's.
1) Run OutRun2006: Coast 2 Coast
2) Press CTRL-ALT-DEL
3) On the task manager select process
4) Find the OutRun2006 process
5) Right click on the process and set affinity to just one checkbox

MULTIPLAYER & INTERNET ISSUES
FIREWALL
OutRun2006: Coast 2 Coast supports Internet functionality, please make sure that all firewalls are disabled or allow outgoing and incoming connections for the game. Please consult on the documentation that came with your firewall for instructions on how to do this.
PLAYING THROUGH A ROUTER / FIREWALL
In order to host or join an OutRun2006: Coast 2 Coast Online network game with a router with NAT (Network Address Translation) or through a firewall, you may need to enable PORT FORWARDING. You will need to Forward UDP port 3658 to the IP address assigned to your PC system. Please consult your Router documentation for further details.
You may need to give your PC a fixed IP address for PORT FORWARDING to work, as the IP address may change if is automatically assigned by your router. Please consult your system documentation for further details on how to set a manual IP address.
