Congratulations on your purchase of RUGRATS(TM) TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) BOREDOM BUSTER(TM).  This file includes last-minute tips.  Please read this before using the program.

           SECTION 1 - MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

*  PC
*  Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 95/98/2000
*  Pentium(R) 166 MHz processor; 233 MHz recommended
*  (4X) CD-ROM drive; (8X) recommended
*  16 MB of RAM; 32MB recommended 
*  16-bit Windows(R) compatible sound card
*  640 X 480 Display, 256 colors
*  100 MB hard disk space
*  Video and sound card compatible with DirectX(R)

                SECTION 2 - INSTALLING THE PROGRAM

                      PC-COMPATIBLE COMPUTER

Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive, and the installation
process will start automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you have disabled your computer's Auto Insert Notification
feature, you can still install the program manually.

  1. Select START from the Windows(R) 95/98/2000 taskbar.
  2. Choose RUN.
  3. Type D:\SETUP.EXE in the line labeled Open. (If your CD-ROM
     drive uses a letter other than D, substitute that letter for
     D.
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Rugrats(TM) Totally
     Angelica(TM).
 
***Be sure to install Full version of QuickTime(TM). No registration number is required. Select next when prompted for registration number.

***Make sure to install DirectX(TM). DirectX will prompt for "Reinstall", even if it has not been previously installed. Ice Queen game will not run if DirectX(TM) is not installed.

             SECTION 3 - UNINSTALLING THE PROGRAM

                  PC-COMPATIBLE COMPUTER

If you need to uninstall Rugrats(TM) Totally Angelica(TM)


  1.  Select START from the Windows(R) 95/98/2000 taskbar.
  2.  In the Programs group, point to Nickelodeon(R), Rugrats(TM) Totally Angelica(TM),
 then Uninstall Rugrats(TM) Totally Angelica(TM). 
  3.  Follow the on-screen uninstall instructions.

You can also uninstall the program by running the Windows(R) 
Add/Remove Programs program:

  1.  Select START from the Windows(R) 95/98/2000 taskbar.
  2.  Click SETTINGS.
  3.  Click CONTROL PANEL.
  4.  Double-click the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS icon. 
  5.  Select RUGRATS(TM) TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM).
  6.  Click the ADD/REMOVE button.
  7.  Follow the on-screen Uninstall instructions. 

Be sure to uninstall RUGRATS(TM) TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) before you 
try re-installing it on the same system. Restart computer after uninstall.

The uninstall program may not remove the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) STUFF 
folder and some of the files in it that were installed on your hard 
drive. 

To remove TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) STUFF folder, drag it into the recycle bin and empty. 

To remove any other files:

  1. Double-click the MY COMPUTER icon 
  2. Double-click Hard Drive icon  
  3. Double-click Program Files 
  4. Double-click Mattel Interactive directory 
  5. Right-click the Nickelodeon directory, and select delete from the menu that pops up.
  6. Select "YES" in the confirmation dialog box that appears

           SECTION 4 - REGISTERING YOUR SOFTWARE

                 PC-COMPATIBLE COMPUTERS

Follow the on-screen instructions for registering your program.
If the text is cut off on the registration screen, set your 
monitor to small fonts. 

  1.  Click START.
  2.  Click CONTROL PANEL.
  3.  Double-click on the DISPLAY icon.
  4.  Click the SETTINGS tab.
  5.  Choose SMALL FONTS from the font size list.

You may need to restart your computer for the new settings
to take effect.

                SECTION 5 - RUNNING THE PROGRAM

                    PC-COMPATIBLE COMPUTERS
                        
Insert the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) CD-ROM 
into your CD-ROM drive.  The program will launch automatically.

If you do not have the Auto Insert notification feature enabled 
for your CD-ROM drive, or if the CD-ROM is already in the 
drive, launch the program manually.
 
  1. Select START from the Windows(R) 95/98/2000 taskbar.
  2. Click PROGRAMS.
  3. Find and click the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) icon.

If you installed the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) CD-ROM 
icon onto your desktop, double-click it to run the program.

NOTE:  Only double-click the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM)
icon once.  Repeatedly clicking it may cause performance problems,
including error messages. If this occurs, exit the program, and 
restart your computer before attempting to run the program.

              SECTION 6 - PC SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TIPS 

This program is designed to work with most computers meeting
the minimum system requirements. If you experience performance 
problems, check this section before calling technical support.  

                  DISPLAY OR GRAPHICS PROBLEMS

If you experience display or graphic problems, try the following 
common solutions before contacting technical support.

  1.  Set your computer to 640x480 resolution and 16 bit color.  To 
      change the settings:
      *  Close the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) program 
         if it is running.
      *  Right click any blank area of your desktop.
      *  Click PROPERTIES.
      *  Click SETTINGS.
      *  Write down the current Color and Screen Area settings.
      *  Click the arrow in the Colors palette box to pull down 
         a menu.
      *  Click TRUE COLOR (16 BIT).
      *  Move the Screen Area slider until you reach 640x480 
         pixels.
      *  Click APPLY.
      *  Windows(R) 95 users click OK to restart computer.
         Windows(R) 98/2000 users click OK if asked to "Apply new 
         color settings without restarting".
      *  Launch TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM).

      Be sure to change the settings back when you are finished 
      using the program.
  
  2.  Close all other applications while TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) is running.
  3.  Make sure that you do not click repeatedly on the TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) icon after double-clicking it once to launch the program.
  4.  Contact your video card or systems vendor to obtain the 
      latest version of their video driver (usually available
      to download from the Internet).


                      PRINTING PROBLEMS

If you have printing problems, check the following:

  1.  Check that your printer is properly connected to your 
      computer and that it is turned on.
  2.  Make sure your computer is not connected to a Network 
      printer. This program may not print on a Network system.
  3.  Set your computer's color palette to 16-bit color. Follow 
      the instructions in the previous section on Display or 
      Graphics problems.
  4.  With some printers, you may encounter slowed program 
      performance or an error message after several hours 
      of continuous printing. If this occurs, restart the 
      program before resuming play.



               SLOW PROGRAM PERFORMANCE

If you experience performance problems such as poor lip 
synchronization or long wait times, check the following:

  1.  Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements.   
  2.  Try adjusting your graphics acceleration:
      * Right click MY COMPUTER located on your desktop.
      * Select PROPERTIES.
      * Select the PERFORMANCE tab.
      * Click the GRAPHICS button.
      * Adjust your graphics acceleration to the BASIC setting 
        (second level from the left).
      * Click OK.
      * Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
  

			FONTS
TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM) does not support all fonts.
If you encounter problems entering text with the selected font, 
please select another font. 

                    SOUND PROBLEMS 

If you have sound problems, check for the following common 
solutions:

  1.  Turn on your computer speakers.
  2.  Check to be sure your speakers are plugged in.
  3.  Be sure the volume level is adjusted properly.
  4.  Check that your sound is not muted. To do this, 
      double-click the small SPEAKER icon in the Windows(R) 
      taskbar at the bottom right of your screen.
  5.  Update your sound driver. Contact your sound card 
      manufacturer to obtain the current sound drivers. 
      (Note: You can usually download this from the Internet.)
  6.  Try adjusting the read-ahead optimization:
      *  Right click MY COMPUTER located on your desktop.
      *  Click PROPERTIES.
      *  Click the PERFORMANCE tab.
      *  Click the FILE SYSTEM button.
      *  Adjust the read-ahead optimization to NONE.
      *  Click OK.
      *  Restart your computer.

                 THIRD-PARTY SHELLS

If you are using a program shell other than the Windows(R) Explorer 
(e.g., Norton Desktop(TM), and are experiencing trouble 
installing TOTALLY ANGELICA(TM), try 4:02 PM 6/5/004:02 PM 6/5/00changing the shell back to the standard Windows(R) Explorer. 
Refer to your shell documentation or call your shell vendor for 
assistance.



                    SCREEN SAVERS

If you are running a screen saver in the background and 
experience video and sound problems during the program, 
disabling the screen saver should resolve the problem. Refer to 
your user documentation on how to disable the screen saver.
