INSTALLATION:

-If you have Internet Explorer 4.0 installed on your system, you
may have a problem running the intro video for Seven Kingdoms.
Here are the steps to fix the problem:
 1. Open your Internet Explorer 4.0 browser.
 2. Click Help on the Menu bar.
 3. Click Product Updates.
 4. Once Internet Explorer 4.0's Active Setup has initialized
and done its check on your system, scroll down the add-on
page and select Direct Show to upgrade it.
 5. Click Next to initiate the IE4.0 Direct Show download.
 6. Choose your site to download from, then download and
install the upgrade to Direct Show.
Upon completion of these steps you will be able to view the
opening animation when you next start up the game with AutoPlay.

-If you have Auto-Play enabled on your computer, installation
should start automatically once you insert the Seven Kingdoms CD.
If you do not have Auto-Play enabled, follow the directions below.

-Double-click Setup.exe on the Seven Kingdoms CD and follow the
instructions. Then double-click the 7K.EXE icon to start the game
or select Seven Kingdoms\7K from the Start Menu.

-Be sure to restart your computer after installation, especially
if you have not had ActiveMovie installed before on your computer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

ONLINE MANUAL:

-To view the online manual you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you
do not have this software on your computer, you can install it by
running SETUP.EXE in the Install directory on the Seven Kingdoms CD
and following the instructions. You must be in Windows to use
 Acrobat Reader.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

RESOLUTION:

-The game will only play in 800x600x256-color video mode. If you try
to install while in Windows 640x480 resolution, you will get an
error message during the install. Switch your Windows desktop to
 800x600x256-color or higher to install.

-After the game has installed, an error may occur when exiting the
game. This error occurs when your computer attempts to auto-switch
back to the higher resolution/color depth of your desktop (it may
not switch back properly). To avoid this error, switch your
desktop to 800x600x256 colors prior to starting the game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

INTELLIMOUSE 2.0:

-In rare instances, your system may not start the game properly if
you have the Microsoft Intellimouse with Intellipoint 2.0 software
installed on your computer. The best solution if this problem
occurs is to hit <CTRL-ALT-DEL> to bring up the Close Program
window (prior to starting the game), select MSWheel from the
list of running programs, then click on the End Task button to
remove MSWheel.dll from memory. MSWheel will be loaded back into
memory again once you restart Windows.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

MULTIPLAYER:

-To support a multiplayer game of four players using one CD, all
players must select the CD-less installation option (basically a
 full install).
