Dragging Busytown.exe into DOSbox works to run the game, but there is no sound. Sound is enabled in DOSbox’s config file, so I don’t know how to fix it.
Im having this damn issue too, found any workaround?
Press the F buttons, i cant remember which one but around F7 or F8 one of them will enable the .exe to look for a sound card. Then sound should work.
Coming back years later to say thank you to L30n4rd for the clue to get it working.
(while game is running)
F5/F6 Down/Up volume of voices
F7/F8 Down/Up volume of music
F10: Sound Setup menu. I pressed ‘Detect Sound Cards’ button (ignoring/saying OK to warning message) and Music and Voice System auto-filled with the ‘Sound Blaster 16’ option. Then I hit ok, and the game restarted with all sound working.
