Game Description

The Punisher is a third-person shooter video game developed by Volition and published by THQ. It was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows; a mobile phone game was also developed by Amplified Games and released in 2004. The game stars the Marvel Comics antihero, The Punisher. After his family was murdered by the Mafia, Frank Castle devoted his life to the punishment of criminals. Players take control of the titular ruthless vigilante to track down and kill criminals.

How to play on Windows

  1. Download and Extract The_Punisher_Win_ROM_EN.zip
  2. Open “Game Files” folder
  3. Open “CD1” folder and mount “The Punisher cd1.bin”
  4. Run “setup.exe” – begin installing game
  5. When prompted, mount CD2 and then CD3
  6. When installation is completed, copy “pun.exe” from the “NoCD” folder into the game installation directory
  7. Play the game

    100% sure there’s a method out there for the CD-ROM thing, just get WinCDEmu or some other .ISO opening app, create an ISO out of the Punisher folder, mount it, and play on the mounted ISO, either that or you can make your own crack, I guess?

      If you start up the game’s setup .exe again, it should show you the path of the default installation directory. Alternatively, if you already installed the game, there is a chance it placed a shortcut for the game onto your desktop. Right click it and go to Properties, then Open File Location to open File Explorer in the game’s directory. If all else fails, you may need to Search your computer for the name of the game directory to find it.

    Does anyone know what to do when it says to put the Punisher CD1 into the CD ROM drive? Because i cant find the CD ROM drive anywhere

      You will need to mount the CD file included in the above download, using a free virtual drive tool such as Daemon Tools Lite. After installing Daemon Tools, simply double click the CD file and it will automatically create a virtual drive and run the disc.

      If a game’s installer asks you at some point to go ahead and insert Disc 2 (or 3, or 4, etc) to continue the installation, go into Daemon Tools and click the eject arrow to unmount the current CD from the virtual drive, then double click the next CD file to mount the next CD onto that same virtual drive. Then you should be able to continue the installation.

      You may also need to mount a certain disc to be able to play the installed game, depending on whether it requires that. Many older games do.

    In the mission crackhause i run in to a crash everytime somebody is taking hostage, bufffer overrun, somebody know the fix for this

      This game is only meant to support Windows 98(se)/ME/2000/XP. You might have success if you change the Compatibility settings of the game’s .exe to Win XP (Service Pack 2). Also make sure there is a check next to Run as Administrator.

      Older games sometimes have trouble detecting your computer’s graphics card if the card is significantly newer than the game. This could also be your problem. However, typically a game will only try to detect your graphics card at launch in order to optimize graphics settings for your card, but that shouldn’t be required in order to still run the game.
